‘We Have A Better Hope.’
Hebrews 7:18-19.
a) Because the earlier Commandment has been
abrogated.
b) The earlier Commandment was:-
1- Weak.
2- Ineffectual.
3- Unprofitable.
c) The Law made nothing perfect.
d) A better Hope has been introduced through
which we can approach God.
(Through this QT I Praise God that I
Have A Better Hope)
‘Wise And Generous Disciples.’
Acts 11:29.
a) This was the heart of the Disciples, they
determined to do it.
b) They did this according to their ability. (Not
giving, or promising to give, what they did not have)
c) Each would send relief to the Believers living
in Judea.
(This Second one shows me Wise And Generous Disciples)

The
earlier commandment was ineffectual according to the writer of the Book of
Hebrews. God replaced it with something far better, giving us a better Hope. When
things, or people become ineffectual we need to consider the situation with
Wisdom and, if necessary, compassion and seek God for something or someone far
better.
