Apostle Paul Knew What To Do!



‘Apostle Paul Knew What To Do.’
Acts 18:18-23.
a)      Acts 18:18. Paul knew when it was time to leave Corinth for Syria and he knew who to take with him – Priscilla and Aquila.
b)      Acts 18:18. Paul knew that he needed to make a vow and he had his head shaved in Cenchrea.
c)     Acts 18:19. Upon arrival in Ephesus Paul left Priscilla and Aquila and he went off to the Synagogue to reason with the Jews.
d)      Acts 18:20. Paul did not agree to stay longer with the Jews in Ephesus.
e)      Acts 18:21. Paul told these Jews that he would come back there if it was God’s Will for him to do so. He then set sail from Ephesus.
f)       Acts 18:22. Paul landed next in Caesarea and he went up and greeted the Church there. Then he went down to Antioch.
g)      Acts 18:23. Paul spent some time in Antioch and then went off to Galatia and Phrygia. As he passed through he strengthened all the Disciples there.

‘Apollos.’
Acts 18:24-28.
a)      Acts 18:24. Apollos was Jewish and he came from Alexandria. He was eloquent and mighty in the Scriptures. He came to Ephesus.
b)      Acts 18:25. Apollos was a fervent True Believer who was instructed in the Way of the Lord. He was Teaching and Preaching accurately the things concerning Jesus. He was only acquainted with the Baptism of John the Baptist.
c)      Acts 18:26. Apollos began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. Priscilla and Aquila heard him and took him to one side to explain to him the Way of the Lord more accurately.
d)      Acts 18:27. Apollos went to Achaia. The Ephesus Church encouraged him to go and he was a great encouragement to the new Believers.
e)      Acts 18:28. Apollos:-
1-      Powerfully refuted the Jews in public.
2-      Demonstrated by the Scriptures.
3-      That Jesus was the Christ.
(Through this Second one I learn much about Apollos)

Apollos was a humble and teachable man even when serving the Lord. He wanted to learn, he wanted to be correct. When he was teaching something that was not correct Aquila and Priscilla took him to one side and explained the correct way. The Church needs humble servants like Apollos and Bible/Church loving leaders like Aquila and Priscilla.
