The offerings were only figures and images of
the present Dispensation.

They could not make the worshipper free from
sin and a guilty conscience.

Those Old Testament offerings were for a
limited time. Giving us a picture of the Sacrifice of Christ.

Hebrews 10:11. The Old Testament offerings
could do nothing to cleanse the human conscience. This meant that the people
were still in sin’s:-

Dominion.

Jesus here taught them by a Parable.

The point of the parable was that people
should always Pray.

They should never give up in Prayer.

The Old Testament offerings could do nothing to cleanse the
human conscience. That must have been quite frustrating for God’s Old Testament
People. What they were doing they were doing in an effort to obey God but their
actions never cleansed away their guilty consciences. We should be so grateful
for the Blood of Jesus Christ which cleanses us from sin.
