Take Heed And Be Quiet!

‘Take Heed And Be Quiet,’
Isaiah 7:1-4.
a)      Isaiah 7:1. These were the days of King Ahaz who was the grandson of King Uzziah.
b)      Isaiah 7:1. King Rezin of Aram and King Pekah of Remaliah went up to attack Jerusalem but they could not mount an attack against it.
c)      Isaiah 7:2.  When the house of David heard that Aram had allied itself with Ephraim, the heart of Ahaz and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.
d)      Isaiah 7:3. The Lord then told Isaiah to take his son Shearjashub and go together to meet King Ahaz. The Lord told him where he would find King Ahaz.
e)      Isaiah 7:4. The Message from the Lord was to tell Ahaz not to fear these enemy kings. Ahaz was:-
1-      To Take Heed.
2-      To Be Quiet.
3-      Not to fear.
4-      Not to be timid.
(This QT reminds me to Take Heed And Be Quiet when I need to)

‘Clear Teaching For Husbands And Wives.’
Ephesians 5:25-32.
a)      Ephesians 5:25. Husbands should sacrificially love their wives.
b)      Ephesians 5:26. The wife needs to be made Holy by the Word of God. (Spirituality of the family is not the wife’s responsibility, it is the husband’s)
c)      Ephesians 5:27. Jesus wants to see also a Holy Church.
d)      Ephesians 5:28. Husbands should love their wives. A husband who loves his wife also loves himself.
e)      Ephesians 5:29. There should be nourishment and tender care in the Church and family.
f)       Ephesians 5:30. We are members of the Body of Christ.
g)      Ephesians 5:31, A man leaves his parents to be joined to his wife and they become one flesh.
h)      Ephesians 5:32. The relationship between Christ and His Church and the True Believer husband with his wife are really connected.

Chris.
We are Members of the Body of Christ, we are Redeemed by His Blood. This should have a very positive effect on our family relationships. The New Life that we have in Christ is supposed to influence every part of our lives. Ephesians chapter five is a good reminder about Christ, our family and us.
