‘God And Father Of Our Lord Jesus Christ.’

b) Romans 15:6; Philippians 4:20. With one mind and one mouth we should Glorify Him.
c) 2 Corinthians 1:3. We should Praise Him, He is the Father of Mercies and the God of all Comfort.
d) Galatians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:3. Jesus Christ gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from this present evil age according to the Will of His God and Father Who is also our God and Father.
e) Ephesians 1:3. He Blessed us in Christ with every spiritual Blessing in Heavenly places.
f) Ephesians 4:6. For the Church He is:-
1- Of all.
2- Over all.
3- Through all.
4- In all.
g) Ephesians 5:20; Colossians 1:3; 3:17. To Him give Thanks always in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
h) 1 Thessalonians 1:3. We remember other True Believers before Him, especially for their:-
1- Work of Faith.
2- Labour prompted by Love.
3- Steadfastness of Hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
i) 1 Thessalonians 3:11. Makes the way for us.
j) 1 Thessalonians 3:13. Our hearts should be established blameless in His Presence at the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His Saints.
k) 2 Thessalonians 2:16. Together with our Lord Jesus Christ gives us:-
1- Love.
2- Lifelong Comfort.
3- Good Hope in Grace.
l) Revelation 1:6. We are Kingdom Priests to Him.
(Through this QT I revere The God And Father Of My Lord Jesus Christ)
-------------
‘The Life That God Has Given To Us.’
Ecclesiastes 5:18.
The good and fitting things about this life:-
a) Eating and Drinking.
b) Finding enjoyment in the things we do.
c) Remembering that we are only on this Earth as long as God wants us to be here.
d) Our ‘lot’ is the Will of God.
(Through this Second one I am grateful to God for The Life That God Has Given To Me)
-------------
Chris.
We are Kingdom Priests unto the Lord. This means that every True Believer is a Servant of the Lord. In our priesthood as True Believers it means firstly that we come to God in Prayer on behalf of people and, secondly, we come to people on behalf of God with the Message of His Kingdom.

Deception!

‘Deception.’
a) Proverbs 20:14. Is sin – even in business. Telling lies is not “clever”.
b) Job 15:5. Is the foundation of some people’s conversation.
c) Proverbs 8:7. Is to be hated.
d) Isaiah 28:15-17. Will protect no one.
e) Acts 5:2. Sometimes even takes place in Church.
f) Romans 1:29. Is wickedness.
g) Ephesians 4:22. Is a part of the old sinful nature.
(This QT encourages me to hate and to speak against Deception)
-------------
‘Settling In To The New Place.’
Deuteronomy 26:1-11.
a) Deuteronomy 26:1. Having assurance that it is the place that the Lord has given to you.
b) Deuteronomy 26:2. We go to the place that the Lord chooses for us to Worship.
c) Deuteronomy 26:3. We express our commitment to the local man or woman of God at the place of Worship.
d) Deuteronomy 26:4. The man or woman of God has a responsibility to help us to Worship God. If they do not help us we should question if we are in the correct place.
e) Deuteronomy 26:5-9. We should be able to testify for the Lord’s Glory.
f) Deuteronomy 26:10. We should be able to Worship freely.
g) Deuteronomy 26:11. We should be able to have Joy in God’s House.
(This Second one shows me how it should be Settling In To The New Place)
-------------
Chris.
Deception even sometimes takes place in the Church. If this occurs it should never be ignored by the leaders of the Church, if it is ignored then lasting difficulties and problems may be allowed to happen in that Church at God’s Hand. Deception in the Church needs to be rooted out and repented of, only then can the Blessing of the Lord be fully restored to the Church.

Holy God With Us!

‘Holy God With Us.’
Isaiah 57:15.
a) This is what the Lord Himself says.
b) He is the High and Exalted One Who lives forever.
c) His Name is Holy.
d) Psalm 51:17. He dwells in the High and Holy Place with broken and humble people.
e) Isaiah 66:1-2. He revives the spirit of the humble people.
f) He revives the hearts of broken people.
(This QT gives to me great confidence in Holy God With Me)
------------
‘Giving Ourselves To God.’
a) Romans 12:1. Giving our body as a living sacrifice.
b) 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We belong to God therefore we should Glorify God with our body.
c) Hebrews 13:15. Giving to Him the Sacrifice of Praise.
d) Psalm 141:2. Giving Him Prayer and lifting up our hands to Him.
e) Hebrews 13:16. Giving Him our good works and communications with other people.
f) 2 Corinthians 9:7. Financially with a willing heart.
(This Second one reminds me to be Giving Myself To God)
------------
Chris.
We need to take the Word of God for what it is, the Word of God. God’s primary way of speaking to us is through His Word and by His Word. Some modern theologians and new age influenced “Bible teachers” have caused immature Believers to doubt the total inspiration of God’s Word and encouraged only the ‘listening to God’s Voice’. Whereas ‘listening to God’s Voice' may be a part of some of our experience as Believers it can never substitute God speaking to us through His Word.

Apostle Paul's Human Weaknesses!

‘Apostle Paul’s Human Weaknesses.’
2 Corinthians 11:29-30.
a) He was sometimes weak just all human beings are.
b) He burned with anger when someone stumbles because of another person’s sin.
c) He gloried in his weakness and feebleness not in his strength.
d) He exposed these things that he might effectively share the Gospel with the Corinthians.
(This QT clearly shows some of Apostle Paul’s Human Weaknesses)
-----------
‘The Message Of The Cross.’
1 Corinthians 1:18.
a) Seems foolish to those people on the way to destruction.
b) But to us who are Saved and on the Way to Salvation.
c) The Cross is the Power of God.
(This Second one makes me highly esteem The Message Of The Cross)
-----------
Chris.
The Corinthian people were unique, just as every people group are unique also. What made them unique was there intellectual ability and strong desire for knowledge as a goal in itself. The Corinthians were also very immoral, Corinth was a hotbed of sexual sin. Apostle Paul wrote his letters to them in a spirit of humility and love, he really helped the Corinthian Church to mature and be Holy. We need Christian leaders today who serve with humility and love.

Be A Good Steward Of Sleep!

‘Be A Good Steward Of Sleep.’
a) Proverbs 20:13; Proverbs 23:21. Too much of it can lead us into poverty.
b) Leviticus 26:6; Ezekiel 34:25; Zephaniah 3:13. It is something to enjoy with no fear.
c) Job 7:13. It is not to be used as a false comfort.
d) Psalm 4:8. Lie down in Peace and enjoy it.
e) Ecclesiastes 5:12. Sleep well because of working hard.
f) Jeremiah 31:26. It can be sweet.
g) 1 Thessalonians 5:7. Night is the time for it.
(This QT encourages me to Be A Good Steward Of Sleep)
----------
‘The Condition Of Our Thinking Mind.’
Romans 8:6.
a) The fleshly and sinful mind of human beings is death.
b) The mind controlled by the Holy Spirit is Life.
c) The mind controlled by the Holy Spirit is Peace.
(This Second one brings to my attention The Condition Of My Thinking Mind)
----------
Chris.
We should be able to lie down in Peace to sleep and enjoy our sleep. Sleep is the Gift of God and we should be good stewards of it. Sleep is not an enemy that needs to be fought and conquered. It is foolish to attempt to fight sleep because we all need enough of it.

God Disciplines Us For Our Good!

‘God Disciplines Us For Our Good.’
Hebrews 12:10-14.
a) Hebrews 12:10. Good fathers discipline their children during the growing years as they think fit.
b) Hebrews 12:10. God disciplines us for our good that we may share in His Holiness.
c) Hebrews 12:11. Discipline is usually not pleasant and sometimes painful yet it produces a harvest of Righteousness and Peace in us.
d) Hebrews 12:12. We need to strengthen our drooping hands and weak knees.
e) Hebrews 12:13. We are to make straight paths for our feet so that what is lame may not be disabled, but rather, healed.
f) Hebrews 12:14. We are to make every effort to live in Peace with all people and to be Holy; without Holiness no one will see the Lord.
(Through this QT I clearly see that God Disciplines Us For Our Good)
---------
‘Our Christ Like Attitude.’
a) Philippians 2:5; John 13:15; 1 Corinthians 11:1. Should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
b) Matthew 11:29. Should be humble and gentle.
c) Matthew 20:26-27. Should be ready to serve other people.
d) Acts 20:35. Should be generous and hard working.
e) Romans 15:5. Should be in harmony with our True Believer Brothers and Sisters.
f) 1 Corinthians 10:33. Should consider what is the best for other people.
g) Ephesians 5:2. Should be a life filled with Love for other people.
h) 1 Peter 2:21; 4:1. Should be willing to suffer when God calls us to suffer.
i) 1 John 2:6. Should be a living and not just a talking testimony.
(This Second one reminds me to have My Christ Like Attitude)
---------
Chris.
We should be in harmony with our True Believer Brothers and Sisters. This kind of harmony is only possible when we live in harmony with the Triune God. If we keep the correct and Biblical attitude then there is no need for a “democratic” system in the Church. The Bible clearly lays down God’s Standards for Church Life and Discipline. The Church can be healthy when the Leadership is in harmony with the Government of God.

Apostle Paul’s Commitment Challenges Us!

‘Apostle Paul’s Commitment Challenges Us.’
2 Corinthians 11:23-28.
a) 2 Corinthians 11:23. He:-
1- Worked hard.
2- Spent many times in prison.
3- Was beaten severely.
4- Faced death.
b) 2 Corinthians 11:24. Five times was tortured by the opposing Jewish priests in the same way that Jesus was.
c) 2 Corinthians 11:25. He was:-
1- Beaten by the Roman officials.
2- One time facing being stoned to death.
3- Three times shipwrecked, even drifting on the sea for a night and a day.
d) 2 Corinthians 11:26. He:-
1- Travelled a lot.
2- Faced dangers from raging rivers.
3- Faced dangers from robbers.
4- Faced dangers from his own people.
5- Faced dangers from the Gentiles.
6- Faced dangers in the city.
7- Faced dangers in the open country.
8- Faced dangers on the sea.
9- Faced dangers from false “believers”.
e) 2 Corinthians 11:27. He:-
1- Had to work so hard.
2- Often went without sleep.
3- Often went without food and drink.
4- Did not have enough clothing in cold weather.
f) 2 Corinthians 11:28. He had the daily pressure of anxiety about the Churches.
(Through this QT Apostle Paul’s Commitment Challenges Me)
--------
‘Our Parents.’
a) Proverbs 1:8. We are to listen to their:-
1- Disciple making.
2- Instruction.
3- Teaching.
b) Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16. We are to honour them so that we can live in the Promises of God.
c) Ephesians 6:2. We are to honour them so that it may go well with us.
(Through this Second one I think a lot about My Parents. Apostle Paul brought this Teaching into the Ephesian Church, so it is not only applicable to Jewish families but to all True Believer families)
--------
Chris.
In today’s QT we look at two of the most challenging subjects in the Word of God, our commitment and our natural family. Modern “Christianity” tends to pass conveniently over these two subjects and is far more interested in the “blessing” and betterment of “self”. In fact, many modern “Charismatic” teachers would probably say that Apostle Paul was “living under a curse”! If we really want to experience a God given revival we need to return to the principles of the God given Word.

Our Eyes!

‘Our Eyes.’
a) Proverbs 20:12. They are necessary and precious, made by the Lord.
b) Judges 16:28; Psalm 38:10. To lose their sight is tragic.
c) Luke 11:34. Are a lamp for our body.
d) Genesis 13:14. Can receive the Promises of God.
e) Genesis 21:19. Can be specially observant, opened by the Lord.
f) Genesis 27:1. May become weak in our old age.
(This QT makes me so grateful to God for My Eyes)
----------
‘We Should Learn From Solomon’s Prayer.’
1 Kings 3:11-13.
a) 1 Kings 3:11. Solomon did not ask God for:-
1- Blessing.
2- Long Life.
3- Riches.
4- The death of his enemies.
b) 1 Kings 3:11. Solomon asked for understanding and discernment in administering justice and judgment.
c) 1 Kings 3:12. God answered Solomon’s prayer and gave to him a wise and understanding heart.
d) 1 Kings 3:13. God gave Solomon in addition to the things that he requested:-
1- Wealth.
2- Honour.
3- Supremacy amongst kings.
(Through this Second one I know that I Should Learn From Solomon’s Prayer)
----------
Chris.
I am so grateful to God for my eyes, I think we should all be too. As a child 54 or 55 years ago, I had surgery on my eyes which meant, in those days, a long time in hospital. I thank God for the success of that surgery which has given me a life time of seeing. Now, my eyes are becoming weaker and my eyeglasses are becoming stronger but I can still thank God for my eyes.

Do Not Only Think It Say It!

‘Do Not Only Think It Say It.’
Daniel 1:8.
a) Daniel purposed in his heart. He made a decision.
b) He would not defile himself with the king’s rich food.
c) He would not defile himself by drinking the king’s wine.
d) He asked the king’s chief of staff that he could follow this decision.
(Through this QT I learn from Daniel: Do Not Only Think It Say It)
---------
‘We Should Be Instructed.’
a) Proverbs 1:3. We should receive the instruction of:-
1- Wisdom.
2- Justice.
3- Judgment.
4- Equity.
b) Psalm 32:8. The Lord’s Eyes watch over us to:-
1- Instruct us.
2- Teach us in the way that we should go.
3- Advise us.
c) Psalm 73:24. The Lord will Guide us with His Counsel.
(This Second one reminds me that until I pass on into Eternity I Should Be Instructed that I may also instruct other people)
---------
Chris.
We should be instructed. If we ever get into the delusion that we do not need to be instructed we are already in a sorry state. We are deceived and are facing many dangers. The safest place to be in is the place of one being well instructed.

Apostle Paul Clearly Stated Who He Was!

‘Apostle Paul Clearly Stated Who He Was.’
2 Corinthians 11:21-23.
a) 2 Corinthians 11:21. He was bold to say this about himself – he was not ashamed.
b) 2 Corinthians 11:22. He was:-
1-A Hebrew.
2-An Israelite.
3-Abraham’s descendant.
c) 2 Corinthians 11:23. He was Christ’s Servant.
(Through this QT: Apostle Paul Clearly Stated Who He Was, I know that it is correct for True Believers not to be ashamed of who they are but, rather, to live for the Lord’s Glory)
--------
‘Another Aspect Of The Greatness Of God.’
Romans 8:29.
a) God has foreknowledge.
b) God predestines the lives of His People.
c) God is able to conform us more and more to the Image of His Son that His Son might be Glorified in our lives.
(This Second one teaches me Another Aspect Of The Greatness Of God)
--------
Chris.
We are all someone’s descendant and we all have very different childhood and growing up experiences. If we are True Believers we can thank God for our Salvation and for His Love and Grace. Whatever kind of past we may have had we should also be able to thank God for our parents who brought us into this World.

The Child Is Revealed!

‘The Child Is Revealed.’
Proverbs 20:11.
The Children makes themselves known:-
a) Not by their words, but by their actions.
b) Whether their deeds are pure.
c) Whether their deeds are right.
(Through this QT I find very simply how The Child Is Revealed)
--------
‘Living As A True Believer.’
Colossians 3:12-17.
a) Colossians 3:12. We are Holy People whom God has Chosen and Loved. Therefore we should be:-
1- Sympathetic.
2- Kind.
3- Humble.
4- Gentle.
5- Patient.
b) Colossians 3:13. As the Lord has forgiven us. That is our standard. We should:-
1- Put up with each other.
2- Forgive one another.
3- Not complain about one another.
c) Colossians 3:14. We are to put on the garment of Love and never be without it.
d) Colossians 3:15. We are in the Body of Christ so we should let God’s Peace control us and we should be thankful.
e) Colossians 3:16. We are to let God’s Word with all its Wisdom and Riches live in us.
f) Colossians 3:16. To teach and instruct ourselves about God’s Kindness we are to use:-
1- Psalms.
2- Hymns.
3- Spiritual Songs.
4- Songs to God in our hearts and with our hearts.
g) Colossians 3:17. Everything we say or do should be done in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
(Through this Second one I understand more about Living As A True Believer)
--------
Chris.
There are two ways in which God’s Word can live in us. Firstly, the Bible names Jesus as the Word of God in John’s Gospel chapter one. So the Word of God lives us when we receive Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour. Secondly, the Bible is the Word of God, as we read it and pray through it surely it will live in us.

Be Slow To Anger!

‘Be Slow To Anger.’
a) Proverbs 15:18. We will quiet contention.
b) Exodus 34:6; Numbers 14:18; Nehemiah 9:17. Jehovah God is.
c) Proverbs 14:29. People of great understanding are.
d) Proverbs 16:32. It is better than being mighty.
e) Proverbs 19:11. The person of discretion is.
f) James 1:19. We should be as beloved Believers.
g) Proverbs 29:11. It is foolish to express out all our emotions before other human beings.
(Through this QT I am reminded to Be Slow To Anger)
-------
‘Deal With Our Anger.’
Ephesians 4:26-27.
a) Sometimes we are angry but that anger should not become sin.
b) Ephesians 4:31. We should not go to bed angry. We should deal with it well before we sleep.
c) Anger that is not dealt with gives the Devil room to work in our lives and in our relationships.
(This Second one is a strong reminder to me: Deal With My Anger)
-------
Chris.
We are of no use to quiet an argument or contention if we are angry. Our anger just adds to the ongoing problem. If we really want to be peace makers then we need to be slow to anger. We need to get to the root causes of our anger problems if we have them and ask God to help us with them.

We Are Not The Fools!

‘We Are Not The Fools.’
2 Corinthians 11:16-21.
a) 2 Corinthians 11:16. Apostle Paul wrote that he was not a fool but if the Corinthians thought of him as such it was up to them.
b) 2 Corinthians 11:17. Apostle Paul was writing from the World system’s point of view.
c) 2 Corinthians 11:18. Paul wanted to boast of his worldly achievements. He was an expert in Apologetics.
d) 2 Corinthians 11:19. The Corinthian Church were not as wise as they claimed to be.
e) 2 Corinthians 11:20. They put up with it when someone:-
1- Made them slaves.
2- Consumed their wealth.
3- Seized their property.
4- Ordered them around.
5- Slaps their face.
6- Takes advantage of them.
f) 2 Corinthians 11:21a. Apostle Paul and Timothy would never do such things to them.
(Through this QT I say with Apostle Paul that I Am Not The Fool)
------
‘God Responds To These Prayers.’
a) Proverbs 15:8. He is pleased with the Prayer of the upright person.
b) Psalm 102:17. He regards the Prayer of the destitute people.
c) Proverbs 15:29. God hears the Prayers of Righteous people.
(Here, in this Second one, I find the Heart of God: God Responds To These Prayers)
------
Chris.
To be able to meaningfully share the Gospel with other people we need to be able to understand where they are coming from intellectually and we need to prepare ourselves with appropriate Apologetics. For most of us, the best way to be a testimony for the Lord before other people is found in our lifestyle as a True Believer rather than in our words. If our calling to be a personal evangelist it is better to study Apologetics first.

No Cheating Please!

‘No Cheating Please.’
a) Proverbs 20:10. Double standards in weights and measures are disgusting to the Lord.
b) Proverbs 11:1. The Lord hates cheating but delights in honesty.
c) Proverbs 16:11. The Lord demands fairness in every business deal, He sets the standard.
(Through this QT I call to all True Believer business people and also all True Believer students: No Cheating Please)
-----
‘The Righteous Lord.’
Psalm 103:8-9.
The Lord:-
a) Is compassionate.
b) Is merciful.
c) Is patient.
d) Is always ready to forgive.
e) Is abounding in steadfast love.
f) Will not always accuse us of wrong.
g) Will not keep His anger forever.
(This Second one puts Praises in my heart to The Righteous Lord)
-----
Chris.
All True Believer business people are put into their business world by the Lord and for His Glory. Business life and True Believer life are inseparable. Being honest in business does not mean foolishness – it means a good testimony for the Glory of the Lord. This is why it is good for True Believers in business to also join healthy fellow Believer business people in fellowship together. This not only encourages the individual but can also be a good platform for the evangelism of the business world.

Stop Fretting!

‘Stop Fretting.’
1 Peter 5:7.
a) To God give all of our:-
1- Worries.
2- Cares.
3- Anxieties.
b) God cares about us.
c) God cares about what happens to us.
(Through this QT I know that it is good to Stop Fretting)
------
‘Hopeful Contrasts.’
Psalm 30:5.
a) God’s anger may last for a moment.
b) God’s favour lasts a lifetime.
c) Weeping may go on all night.
d) Joy comes in the morning.
(This Second one shows to me Hopeful Contrasts)
------
Chris.
God cares about us – this is Biblical Truth that can be experienced in our lives. When something “goes wrong” it is so easy for us to blame God and even to turn our hearts away from Him. To do that is simply a wrong thing to do because God cares about us. The Character of God is that He is Good, He is Love and He is Faithful.

Do Not Be Distracted From Our Service!

Do Not Be Distracted From Our Service.’
2 Corinthians 11:11-15.
a) 2 Corinthians 11:11. The True Minister of God loves the people that they serve.
b) 2 Corinthians 11:12. The True Minister is not discouraged and put off by false prophets and teachers.
c) 2 Corinthians 11:13. False prophets are:-
1- Boasters.
2- Deceitful and dishonest workers.
3- Attempting to transform themselves into apostles of Christ.
d) 2 Corinthians 11:14. Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
e) 2 Corinthians 11:15. So it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants who have God's approval. In the end they will get what they deserve.
(This QT reminds me: Do Not Be Distracted From My Service)
-----
‘As God’s People The Church.’
1 Peter 2:9.
We are:-
a) A Chosen People.
b) A Royal Priesthood.
c) A Holy Nation.
d) God’s own Special People who belong to Him.
e) We are chosen to Proclaim the Praises of Him.
f) Called out of darkness into the Light.
(Through this Second one I understand who I am included amongst and recognised As God’s People The Church)
-----
Chris.
Boasters are never good for the Body of Christ. False ministers, whether they are prophets, apostles or teachers, frequently boast of their “achievements”. Through this boasting they make much money and cause immature Believers to go astray. We should mark the boasters and stay away from them.

An Actual And Verbal Reality!

‘An Actual And Verbal Reality.’
Proverbs 20:9.
a) No one can say these things.
b) I have made and kept my heart pure. (Only the Blood of Jesus can give us a clean heart as a response to our prayer to God)
c) I am clean from my sin. (Only God can say through His Word, in response to our Faith, that we are clean)
d) 2 Corinthians 5:17. If anyone is in Christ they are a New Creation.
(This QT frankly teaches me An Actual And Verbal Reality)
------------
‘God’s True People.’
Revelation 5:9.
a) Sing a new song in Glory.
b) They Worship and Praise the Lord.
c) They exalt the life giving Power of the Cross and the shed Blood of Jesus.
d) They confess Redemption through the Blood of Jesus.
e) They come from every:-
1- Tribe.
2- Language.
3- People group.
4- Nation.
(Through this Second one I know who are God’s True People)
------------
Chris.
They confess Redemption through the Blood of Jesus. It is impossible to be Redeemed by anything else other than the Blood of Jesus. Some Churches in more wealthy Nations major on the subject of money. This is incorrect, it is done almost to the point of making people feel that they are “redeemed” through the money that they put in the offering!

Lament For Jerusalem!

‘Lament For Jerusalem.’
Matthew 23:37.
These Words were spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ over Jerusalem:-
a) Jerusalem killed the prophets.
b) Jerusalem killed the messengers sent to her.
c) The Lord wanted to gather her under His Wings as a hen does her chicks to protect them.
d) They would not respond to the Lord.
(Through this QT: Lament For Jerusalem, I see the Lord’s Love and Compassion for His People even when they are not responsive to Him)
-----------
‘Two People Are Better Than One.’
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10.
a) Two people are better than one.
b) Two people working together get more work done.
c) If one person falls down the other person can pick them up.
d) It is tragic if there is one person all alone who falls because there is no one to help them get up.
(Through this Second one I can see that Two People Are Better Than One)
-----------
Chris.
Two people are better than one. This is especially relevant in Missions. Generally, lasting Mission effort is most successful when it is taken on by a team. To go to Mission field alone is usually not a good thing. A husband and wife team is good. A ministry team is good. A work planted by a team has a solid foundation and is more likely to be effective as other people, whether local people or otherwise can be added to the team.

The Truth Of Christ Within Us!

‘The Truth Of Christ Within Us.’
2 Corinthians 11:10.
Gives us:-
a) Confidence.
b) Desire to testify.
c) Desire for Mission.
(This QT makes me give Thanks to God for The Truth Of Christ Within Me)
-----------
‘Admit It And Repent.’
Jeremiah 3:13-14.
a) We need only acknowledge our iniquity and that we have done wrong.
b) Admit all rebellion and transgression against the Lord.
c) Admit idolatry.
d) Admit disobedience.
e) Repent and come back to the Lord.
f) He:-
1- Will welcome us.
2- May cause us to move our home.
3- Will bring us to Zion, the place of Worship.
(This Second one teaches me that it is always right to Admit It And Repent)
-----------
Chris.
Repent and come back to the Lord. Sometimes we are so busy, not only in secular things but even in “spiritual” things, that we neglect our personal walk with the Lord. If this is the case we need to repent and come back to the Lord.

The Caring And Careful Leader!

‘The Caring And Careful Leader.’
Proverbs 20:8.
a) Judges well.
b) Carefully weighs all evidence when necessary.
c) Distinguishes the bad from the good.
(Through this QT I find The Caring And Careful Leader)
----------
‘The Way To Receive The Word Of God.’
1 Thessalonians 2:13.
a) Hear it and so in doing cause Joy for the messenger.
b) Do not receive it as the Word from people.
c) Receive it as the Truth.
d) Receive it as the Word of God.
e) Then it will work in us.
(This Second one shows me The Way To Receive The Word Of God)
----------
Chris.
The way to receive the Word of God is something that all True Believers need to follow. When it is preached as the Word of God and not just as people’s thoughts then we can receive it by Faith and it will do its work in us. If we only listen to certain people and refuse to listen to other people that is a form of idolatry.

Use Our Common Sense!

‘Use Our Common Sense.’
Luke 14:31-32.
a) Think things through before taking action.
b) Do not take difficult steps unless we have a specific and clear confirmed Promise from God.
c) It is always better to make peace than to make war.
(This QT reminds me to Use My Common Sense)
---------
‘The Messenger With Beautiful Feet.’
Isaiah 52:7.
Brings a Message of:-
a) Peace.
b) Good things.
c) Salvation.
d) The Kingdom of God.
(Through this Second one I want to be The Messenger With Beautiful Feet)
---------
Chris.
We should not take difficult steps unless we have a specific and clear confirmed Promise from God. It is irresponsible to take rash and difficult steps that may harm our family, friends and self, as well as spoil the good testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to be well prepared if there are going to be significant changes in our life, then the minimum of harm will be done and we could actually experience the Blessing of God.

The Macedonian Church’s Generosity And Love!

‘The Macedonian Church’s Generosity And Love.’
2 Corinthians 11:7-9.
a) 2 Corinthians 11:7. Apostle Paul preached Good News to the Corinthians for free (no offerings). He was not committing any sin.
b) 2 Corinthians 11:8. Other Churches gave Paul money to preach the Good News in Corinth – even though Corinth was a wealthy and intellectual city.
c) 2 Corinthians 11:9. All Paul’s financial needs were seen to by the Macedonian Church. He was determined to not be financially dependent on the Corinthians.
(Here is a great Mission example for us: The Macedonian Church’s Generosity And Love)
--------
‘Turn To God.’
a) 2 Corinthians 5:20. Be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ.
b) Isaiah 57:14. The stumbling blocks are being taken out of the way.
c) Isaiah 57:15. God will come and dwell with the humble and contrite people.
(This Second one stimulates me to say in Church today that people need to Turn To God)
--------
Chris.
Be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. We cannot be reconciled to God through serving Him. We cannot be reconciled to God by putting money in the offering. We cannot be reconciled to God by merely attending Church service. We need to be reconciled to God through the completed work of Christ on Calvary for us.

Really Righteous People!

‘Really Righteous People.’
Proverbs 20:6-7.
a) It is not who we say we are.
b) It is how other people find us.
c) Live on the basis of their integrity.
d) God blesses the descendants of really Righteous People.
(Through this QT I want to be a Really Righteous Person)
-------
‘Lucifer Is A Deceiver.’
Genesis 3:1-5.
a) Genesis 3:1. Lucifer is cunning.
b) Genesis 3:1. Lucifer tries to make her doubt what God has said.
c) Genesis 3:2-3. The woman was exaggerating – God had not said what she said that He had said.
d) Genesis 3:4-5. Lucifer played on the woman’s exaggeration.
e) Genesis 3:5. Lucifer encouraged her to eat the forbidden fruit because, he lied, it will make you become like God.
(This Second one reminds me that the evil and deceptive character of Lucifer has not changed: Lucifer Is A Deceiver)
-------
Chris.
God blesses the descendants of really Righteous People. Sometimes, in the past, people would come to me and ask for me to pray for God’s Blessing on something in their lives. I always found that very difficult because God has guaranteed in His Word that He will Bless Righteous People. The important part was not my prayer but the important part was the Righteous life of the people.

We Need To Maintain Our Victory!

‘We Need To Maintain Our Victory.’
a) 1 John 5:19. The important factor here is that as True Believers we are of God. God’s Truth and Love are greater than Satan’s darkness.
b) 2 Corinthians 4:4. We are True Believers who belong to the Living God. Our minds are not blinded by the god of this World. Therefore we can still preach the Gospel that has a powerful effect.
c) 1 Peter 5:8. We simply need, as True Believers, to keep our mind clear and be alert.
(Through this QT I know that I Need To Maintain My Victory)
--------
‘Satan Is A Created Loser.’
a) Revelation 12:7. He even tries a war in Heaven.
b) 2 Corinthians 2:11. We are not ignorant of his scheming.
c) Ephesians 6:11. We simply keep our armour on then we can stand.
d) 2 Timothy 2:26. Simply by coming to our senses we can be free.
e) 2 Corinthians 11:4. We do not put up with false teachers and false prophets we give them no room at all.
(Through this Second one I have confidence that Satan Is A Created Loser)
--------
Chris.
We need to keep on the spiritual armour that God has made an inventory of in Ephesians chapter six. If we keep on this armour we can stand in the Lord in every situation that we may face. We need balance! Some people believe and declare that there is no “satan” and they are deceived already because they do not believe the Truth of God’s Word. Some other people get fascinated by and involved in unnecessary “spiritual warfare” and become deceived by that false stance. The Truth is simple and it is not extreme in either way afore mentioned. The Truth tells us to keep our armour on.

Apostle Paul's Loving Foolishness!

‘Apostle Paul’s Loving Foolishness.’
2 Corinthians 11:1-6.
a) 2 Corinthians 11:1. Apostle Paul asked the Corinthian Church to put up with his seeming foolishness. (Please remember that the Corinthian people were, in the most part, highly intellectual)
b) 2 Corinthians 11:2. Paul was protective of them with a godly jealousy. He wanted to present them as a beautiful bride to their Bridegroom Jesus Christ.
c) 2 Corinthians 11:3. He did not want them to be deceived and led astray from their sincere love for Christ.
d) 2 Corinthians 11:4. The Corinthian Church was being wrongly impressed by false teachers who were leading them astray. A false gospel.
e) 2 Corinthians 11:5. Apostle Paul claimed to be no way inferior to these false teachers and apostles.
f) 2 Corinthians 11:6. Apostle Paul and Timothy may not have had the same eloquence as the false teachers but at least they had the Truth and they would not deceive the Corinthian Church.
(This QT gives me the motivation to pray for God to raise up more men and women of God to emulate Apostle Paul’s Loving Foolishness)
-------
‘Satan Is A Defeated Foe.
Isaiah 14:13-15.
a) Isaiah 14:13. Satan wanted to exalt himself to the highest place.
b) Isaiah 14:14. Satan wanted to be like the Most High God.
c) Isaiah 14:15. God ensures that Satan is brought down to the depths of the pit.
(Through this Second one I rejoice that Satan is A Defeated Foe)
-------
Chris.
Satan is a defeated foe. Pride was his downfall just as pride can be our downfall too. We need to learn from this defeat of Satan. We should remember the example given to us as Jesus Christ Who came to serve and give His Life.

Good Counsel!

‘Good Counsel.’
a) Proverbs 20:5. Is not just information. It is something deep in the counsellor’s heart.
b) Deuteronomy 32:28. Maybe needed for a whole Nation.
c) 1 Kings 1:12. Can save lives.
d) 1 Kings 12:8-14. Should not necessarily come from friends.
e) Job 12:13; Psalm 73:24; Isaiah 11:2. Comes from God.
f) Job 29:21; Proverbs 19:20. Will be listened to and valued.
g) Psalm 106:13. Is rarely instant.
h) Psalm 119:24. Is found in the Word of God.
i) Proverbs 12:15. Wise people listen to it.
j) Proverbs 20:18. Helps plans to succeed.
(Through this QT I highly value Good Counsel)
-------
‘About Judgment.’
a) John 5:22. Father God has entrusted Judgment entirely to the Son – Jesus Christ.
b) Acts 17:31. God has fixed a day when He will Judge the World with Justice.
c) Acts 17:31. He has appointed Jesus Christ to carry out this Judgment. He proved this by raising Jesus from the Dead.
d) 1 Corinthians 11:31. There are times now when we need to Judge ourselves and correct ourselves.
e) 1 Corinthians 4:5. We are never to prejudge other people but we are to leave all Judgment to the Lord.
(This Second one teaches me more About Judgment)
-------
Chris.
God has appointed Jesus Christ as the Judge of this World. We must all face Him as our Judge at the End Time. One of our priorities in life as True Believers is to be ready for this Judgment.

When Tempted!

‘When Tempted.’
James 1:13-15.
a) James 1:13. When someone is tempted they should not say that God is tempting them.
b) James 1:13. God cannot be tempted by evil.
c) James 1:13. God does not tempt anyone.
d) James 1:14. Everyone is tempted by their own desires. These desires lure people away and trap them.
e) James 1:15. Desire gives birth to sin.
f) James 1:15. Sin gives birth to death.
(This QT shows me what happens to me When Tempted and helps me to live in Victory over temptation)
------
‘God’s Mercy To Us.’
Psalm 51:1-2.
a) Is rooted in His Grace.
b) Is given to us because He takes pity on us.
c) Gives us unlimited compassion.
d) Wipes out our rebellious acts.
e) Washes us thoroughly from our guilt.
f) Cleanses us from our sin.
(Through this Second one I Praise Him for God’s Mercy To Me)
------
Chris.
God’s dealings with us now are rooted in His Grace. God is a God of Grace and He operates in Grace towards His Children. God is also a God of Judgment but He always gives Grace before Judgment. Even Noah found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord.

Treasure The Lord's Commendation!

‘Treasure The Lord’s Commendation.’
2 Corinthians 10:18.
a) We should not recommend ourselves.
b) We should not live for the recommendation of other people for us.
c) We should seek to please the Lord and to get His commendation.
(Through this QT I Treasure The Lord’s Commendation)
-----
‘Whom Or What Do We Serve?’
Romans 6:16-18.
a) Romans 6:16. If we offer to be someone’s slave, we obey that master.
b) Romans 6:16. Either that master is sin or obedience.
c) Romans 6:16. If sin is our master it leads to death.
d) Romans 6:16. If obedience is our master we desire to do the Will of God and the end result will be Righteousness.
e) Romans 6:17. Correct Bible Teaching is the key. Slaves to and of sin can become wholeheartedly obedient to the Will of God through the correct Teaching of the Word of God.
f) Romans 6:18. When we are free from the master of sin we can truly be servants of Righteousness.
(Through this Second one I am questioned, examined and tested: Whom Or What Do I Serve?)
-----
Chris.
Correct Bible Teaching is the key. Going to Church merely as an act of faithfulness in itself is not the key for a changed life. It is good to go to Church but in order to experience change in our life that the Holy Spirit may bring we need to receive correct Teaching of the Word of God. Initially two types of Bible Teaching are needed. Firstly, Gospel Teaching; Secondly, how to be a True Believer Teaching.

Four Things That Are Just Not Wise!

‘Four Things That Are Just Not Wise.’
Proverbs 20:1-4.
a) Proverbs 20:1. Being led astray by taking excessive alcohol.
b) Proverbs 20:2. Causing our leader to be angry.
c) Proverbs 20:3. Being quick to quarrel.
d) Proverbs 20:4. Not working when we should be working.
(This QT shows me Four Things That Are Just Not Wise)
----
‘Keep Alert.’
1 Peter 5:8.
a) Be:-
1- Self controlled.
2- Sober.
3- Alert.
4- Vigilant.
b) Our enemy, the Devil, prowls around like a roaring lion.
c) Looking for someone to devour.
(This Second one strongly reminds me to Keep Alert)
----
Chris.
There are many things in life that are just not wise. Four of these are mentioned in this QT. All of us can make good choices in life and avoid the things that are just not wise. If we fail to make those choices we bring much trouble on ourselves and also harm other people.

Apostle Paul’s “I” Struggle!

‘Apostle Paul’s “I” Struggle.’
Romans 7:7-25.
a) Romans 7:7. I know what sin is because of God’s Law.
b) Romans 7:8. Sin produced in me all kinds of coveting.
c) Romans 7:9. When the Commandment came sin sprang to life and I died. (Sin was killing me)
d) Romans 7:10. I found that the very Commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.
e) Romans 7:11. Sin deceived me and through the Commandment killed me.
f) Romans 7:12-13. I realised my sinfulness, it killed me. The Law is Holy. The Commandment is:-
1- Holy.
2- Righteous.
3- Good.
g) Romans 7:14. The Law is Spiritual – but I am unspiritual, a slave to sin.
h) Romans 7:15. Big “I” problem:-
1-I do not understand what I do.
2-What I want to do I do not do.
3-I hate what I do.
i) Romans 7:16. Because of this problem I confess the Law is good.
j) Romans 7:17. Sin lives in me, motivating me.
k) Romans 7:18. In my fleshly and sinful nature no good lives. I have the desire to do right but I do not practise it.
l) Romans 7:19. I keep on doing what I do not want to do and what I want to do I do not do.
m) Romans 7:20. Sin makes me do what I do not want to do.
n) Romans 7:21. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
o) Romans 7:22-23. I have an inner war that is making me a prisoner to sin.
p) Romans 7:24. Paul’s sense of wretchedness and longing for deliverance.
q) Romans 7:25. The Answer to Paul’s struggle was through Jesus Christ the Lord.
(This QT shows me Apostle Paul’s “I” Struggle)
---
‘Overcoming Temptation.’
1 Corinthians 10:13.
a) Every temptation that we face is common to humanity and God’s Word says that we can bear it.
b) God is Faithful.
c) God will not let us suffer from unbearable temptations.
d) When we are tempted God provides a way out so that we do not fall down and we can overcome the temptation.
(Through this Second one I know that I can be Overcoming Temptation by the Grace of God)
---
Chris.
Apostle Paul’s “I” struggle was his own particular testimony. To say that we are all in the same experience as Apostle Paul is erroneous. What we do have I common with Paul is the need to have deliverance from and to overcome the power of sin. Let us not compare ourselves with Apostle Paul but rather look to Jesus as the One Who can help us.

Biblical Boasting!

‘Biblical Boasting.’
2 Corinthians 10:13-17.
a) 2 Corinthians 10:13. Has limits determined by God.
b) 2 Corinthians 10:13-14. Is selfless boasting not selfish boasting.
c) 2 Corinthians 10:15. Does not go beyond its limits and always considers other people.
d) 2 Corinthians 10:16. Is never built on another person’s ministry.
e) 2 Corinthians 10:17. Is always in the Lord.
(This QT helps me to understand Biblical Boasting)
--------------
‘Sincere Love For One Another In The Body Of Christ.’
a) Romans 12:9-10. Is devoted Love and Honours other people.
b) 1 Peter 1:22. Comes from a pure soul that obeys the Truth.
c) 1 Timothy 1:5. Is instructed in the Word of God.
d) 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10. Should be increasing.
e) 2 Corinthians 9:8-11. Is generous.
(This Second one reminds me of the necessity for Sincere Love In The Body Of Christ)
--------------
Chris.
Biblical boasting is always in the Lord. It is really boasting about the Lord and what He does – not so much on what we have done! We read, especially in Charismatic circles and ministries, about what people have done. This really is not good because it is not pleasing to the Lord. Let us always remember that Biblical boasting is about what He has done.

Stop Mocking And Scoffing!

‘Stop Mocking And Scoffing.’
a) Proverbs 19:29; Isaiah 28:22. Or we will pay the price for it. There will be a penalty to pay.
b) Proverbs 3:34; Acts 13:40-41. Or the Lord will mock at us.
c) 2 Peter 3:3-5. Mockers have forgotten the Word of God.
(This QT calls me to Stop Mocking And Scoffing)
-------------
‘We Are Not To Be Spoiled By Little Foxes.’
a) Song of Solomon 2:15. We are to catch the little foxes and get rid of them.
b) Proverbs 6:10-11. The little fox of laziness.
c) Ecclesiastes 10:1. The little fox of foolishness.
d) Matthew 6:30; Hebrews 11:6; Romans 10:17. The little fox of little Faith.
e) Revelation 2:4; Matthew 22:37. The little fox of lost first love for the Lord.
f) 1 Corinthians 5:6; 1 Corinthians 15:33. The little fox of leaven.
g) James 3:5-6. The little fox of the tongue.
h) Romans 1:21; 1 Thessalonians 5:18. The little fox of no giving thanks.
(Through this Second one I know that I Am Not To Be Spoiled By Little Foxes)
-------------
Chris.
We are not to be spoiled by the little foxes in life. So many Churches, families and people are spoiled by little foxes. When people are careless with their rubbish, especially in the rural regions, the foxes come and make a mess. When we are careless with our lives the foxes come and make a mess!

The Problem Is The Heart!

‘The Problem Is The Heart.’
Mark 7:18-23.
Jesus here was speaking to Jewish religious leaders who were opposing Him, angry with Him and hating Him. They were often falsely accusing Him. Here the accusations were against Him because of eating “unclean” food and His manner of fellowship.
a) Mark 7:18. Although these Jewish priests were well educated in the Jewish law Jesus told them that were void of understanding as far as God’s Principles were concerned. What was eaten could not make one unclean.
b) Mark 7:19. Jesus declared the natural process of all food.
c) Mark 7:20. Jesus said that it was not what went into a person that made them unclean but rather what came out of them.
d) Mark 7:21-22. There is a list given by Jesus of what makes people unclean. These things come from within the heart. Not from demons, not from “spiritual warfare”, but from the heart:-
1- Evil thoughts.
2- Sexual immorality.
3- Theft.
4- Murder.
5- Adultery.
6- Greed.
7- Malice.
8- Deceit.
9- Lewdness.
10- Envy.
11- Slander.
12- Arrogance.
13- Folly.
e) Mark 7:23. All these things come from within and defile the person.
(This QT reminds me that The Problem Is The Heart)
-------------
‘The Precious Word Of God’
a) Psalm 119:72. Is more precious than gold or silver.
b) Romans 14:17. Gives us Hope.
c) John 8:32. Gives us Freedom.
(Through this Second one I find The Precious Word Of God and am so Blessed and encouraged by it)
-------------
Chris.
To slander another person is a very unchristian thing to do. We are simply not to do that if we are True Believers. There is sometimes “church gossip” that is nothing more than slander. In some countries it is actually illegal and one can be prosecuted for slander. So slander is not only forbidden by God, it is also forbidden by law.

Good Responses To Our Church Leaders!

‘Good Responses To Our Church Leaders.’
2 Corinthians 10:7-12.
a) 2 Corinthians 10:7. We should not just look on the surface, that they are leaders. Rather we should realise that they are on the same “side” as us – they too belong to Jesus.
b) 2 Corinthians 10:8. The authority that the Lord has given our leaders is to build us up spiritually.
c) 2 Corinthians 10:9. We are to reject any intimidation and control through fear from Church leaders. If that is their “style” we are better off in another Church.
d) 2 Corinthians 10:10. We should accept their style of personality in leadership.
e) 2 Corinthians 10:11. We can expect consistency in our Church leaders.
f) 2 Corinthians 10:12. We should not compare ourselves with other Believers, neither should we compare our leaders with other leaders.
(This QT urges me to have Good Responses To My Church Leaders)
------------
‘The Lord Our Teacher.’
Micah 4:2-3.
a) He loves multi ethnic environments and Churches.
b) He teaches us at Worship Service in His House.
c) He teaches us how to live in ways that please Him.
d) He teaches us that we may teach other people.
e) He establishes Justice.
f) He gives Peace.
(This Second one clearly shows me The Lord My Teacher)
------------
Chris.
The True Church and its ministers belong to Jesus. As True Believers we should never forget this fact. God ordained Church leaders are reminded by the Lord to lead well and honestly, they are also to be diligent in their leadership. True Believers should be able to pray for and respect their Church leaders.

Be A Truthful Witness!

‘Be A Truthful Witness.’
a) Proverbs 19:28. A corrupt witness mocks at Justice.
b) Exodus 23:1. A false witness cooperates with evil people by telling lies to protect them.
c) Leviticus 19:12. Do not use the Lord’s Name to swear a falsehood.
d) Deuteronomy 5:20. Do not testify falsely against your neighbour.
e) Proverbs 14:5. A truthful witness does not lie; a false witness breathes lies.
f) Proverbs 24:28. Do not testify spitefully against innocent neighbours and do not lie about them.
g) Proverbs 25:18. Telling lies about others is as harmful as:-
1- Hitting them with an ax.
2- Wounding them with a sword.
3- Shooting them with a sharp arrow.
h) Zechariah 8:17. Stop the habit of swearing to things that are false. The Lord hates it.
(This QT reminds me to Be A Truthful Witness)
-----------
‘When God’s People Live In Righteousness.’
Isaiah 32:16-18.
a) Isaiah 32:16. They live in Justice and Righteousness.
b) Isaiah 32:17. They live in:-
1- Peace.
2- Quietness.
3- Confidence.
c) Isaiah 32:18. Their homes are:-
1- Peaceful.
2- Secure.
3- Undisturbed.
(This Second one shows me what happens When God’s People Live In Righteousness)
-----------
Chris.
The longing of most people on the Earth today is that they live in Justice and Righteousness. It is only a few troublemakers and unreasonable zealots that make things difficult for everyone. Personally I do not like these troublemakers and unreasonable zealots and I pray for Governments to have Wisdom what to do with troublemakers and unreasonable zealots and how to do it.

What God Wants!

‘What God Wants.’
Jeremiah 31:33.
a) He wants to be in Covenant relationship with His People.
b) He wants His Word to be in our thinking minds.
c) He wants His Word to be in our emotional hearts.
d) He wants to be our God.
e) He wants us to be His People.
(Through this QT I know What God Wants)
----------
‘Exercise Our Faith.’
Hebrews 11:3.
a) By Faith we understand this.
b) The Universe was formed at God’s Command.
c) What is seen by us now was made out of what was not visible – an amazing creative miracle.
(This Second causes me to Exercise My Faith)
----------
Chris.
God wants us to be His People. There are many people today who call themselves “christians” but, in actual fact they are not God’s People at all. To be a Person of God (or another definition is True Believer) one has to know Jesus Christ personally as Lord and Saviour. A True Believer is in a Covenant relationship with God because of the Cross. A True Believer treasures the indwelling Word of God.

Disobedient Thoughts And Actions!

‘Disobedient Thoughts And Actions.’
2 Corinthians 10:5-6.
a) We demolish arguments against Christ in our minds. (Our own thoughts as well as other people’s)
b) We demolish every pretension that sets itself up against the Knowledge of God.
c) We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
d) We are ready to punish every act of disobedience. (Especially our own)
e) We can expect the whole Church to follow this pattern.
(This QT teaches me to handle Disobedient Thoughts And Actions properly)
----------
‘God Does Not Want His People To Spiritually Die.’
Ezekiel 18:31.
a) Cast away from us and rid ourselves all the offences and transgressions that we have committed.
b) Get ourselves a new heart.
c) Get ourselves a new spirit.
d) God does not want us to die.
(This Second one reminds me that God is Gracious and Merciful: God Does Not Want His People To Spiritually Die)
----------
Chris.
If we read 2 Corinthians with a humble and teachable thinking mind we can experience life changing Truth. The Epistles in the Bible are not just historical letters nor are they merely foundational doctrines of the Christian Faith. These Epistles are the Living Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and totally relevant for today’s Christian and Church.

Difficult Children!

‘Difficult Children.’
Proverbs 19:26-27.
a) The child who robs or mistreats their father.
b) The child who drives out and chases away their mother.
c) The child who stops listening to instruction.
d) These are all difficult children and they bring into their family:-
1- Shame.
2- Public disgrace.
3- Embarrassment.
4- A turning the back on knowledge.
(Through this QT I am urged to pray for Difficult Children that their problems can be solved)
---------
‘Nicodemus’ Unbelief Confronted By Jesus.’
John 3:9-13.
a) John 3:9. Nicodemus questioned Jesus instead of Believing Him.
b) John 3:10. Nicodemus was a respected Jewish Teacher and he could not understand the sayings of Jesus.
c) John 3:11-12. Even though Jesus clearly spoke the Truth Nicodemus would not Believe it.
d) John 3:13. Jesus the Son of Man came to Earth from Heaven and will return back there again.
(By this Second one my Faith is challenged and encouraged: Nicodemus’ Unbelief Confronted By Jesus)
---------
Chris.
Difficult children always bring difficulty into their family. Even if it is the parents’ fault that the children are difficult it solves nothing simply by blaming the parents. There is no “set” remedy for difficult children. Each one is unique and needs the help most appropriate for their difficulty to be overcome. Whatever the situation, parents of difficult children need an abundance of Grace and Love.

d) John 16:30; Matthew 11:27. He is manifested in His Son Jesus Christ.
e) John 21:17. He is Worthy of our love.
f) Romans 8:28. He works all things together for our good.
g) John 8:16. His decisions are right and true.
(Through this QT I am convinced that God Is The I Am)
--------
‘A Minister Of Integrity.’
Matthew 22:16.
a) Is known to be so.
b) Teaches the Way of God in Truth.
c) Is not swayed by people.
d) Pays no attention to people’s status.
(This Second one shows me A Minister Of Integrity)
--------
Chris.
God surely does work all things together for our good. Sometimes, especially if we are suffering in some way we forget this fact or find it difficult to believe but it is True and Truth. So, whatever our situation, let us Trust God and obey Him because really our lives are in His Hands.

The True Believer And The World System!

‘The True Believer And The World System.’
2 Corinthians 10:2-4.
a) 2 Corinthians 10:2. True Believers should not live in the same way as people in the World system.
b) 2 Corinthians 10:3. True Believers do not wage war as the World System does.
c) 2 Corinthians 10:4. True Believers do not use the same weapons that the World system uses.

-------
‘The Lord Knows.’
a) John 2:24. All people and what they are like individually.
b) Acts 1:24. Everyone’s heart.
c) Matthew 9:4. Everyone’s thoughts.
d) John 18:4. Everything that was going to happen to Him.
e) John 6:64. Who does not Believe and who would betray Him.
f) John 13:19. The things that are going to happen.
(This Second one convinces me that The Lord Knows)
-------
Chris.
True Believers do not use the same weapons as the World system uses. The World system uses revenge to retaliate and hurt those people who have hurt them. True Believers do not do this.

Wise Punishment!

‘Wise Punishment.’
Proverbs 19:25.
a) People who make fun of Wisdom and mock need to be punished.
b) Deuteronomy 19:20. People sometimes learn through observing things.
c) Rebuke a discerning person and they will gain knowledge.
(Through this QT I fully understand that Wise Punishment is beneficial)
------
‘We Should Freely Help Other People.’
Matthew 10:8.
There are three things that the Church should be giving to other people. These things have been freely given to the Church by the Lord and we should give them in various appropriate ways both practically and spiritually.
a) Healing.
b) Resurrection Life.
c) Freedom from Bondage.
(This Second one reminds me that I Should Freely Help Other People and encourage the Church to do the same)
------
Chris.
Rebuke a discerning person and they will gain knowledge. Mature Churches and leaders know how to rebuke, it is a part of their responsibility that the Church may be kept pure. Problems multiply and uncontrolled gossip begins when rebuke is not carried out well. Immature Churches and leaders create more problems by not dealing with problems

Not To Condemn!

‘Not To Condemn.’
John 3:16-17.
a) The Message of the Gospel is a Message of Love.
b) The Message of the Gospel is about God giving to the lost World His only begotten Son.
c) The Message of the Gospel invites people to Believe in Jesus then they will not perish but have Everlasting Life. This Message is for all humanity everywhere.
d) God did not send His Son into the World to condemn the World.
e) God wants to save the World through Jesus Christ His Son.
(This QT reminds me that God sent His Son into the World Not To Condemn The World)
-------------------
‘The Ultimate Gift.’

a) It is by Grace that we have been Saved.
b) Through Faith.
c) This is not from ourselves.
d) It is the Gift of God.
(This Second one shows me The Ultimate Gift)
-------------------
Chris.
If we Believe in Jesus we have Everlasting Life. This must be the Greatest Promise of God’s Word. We all know that death is a gateway but people’s opinions vary greatly about what is on the other side of the gate! As True Believers we have confidence in God’s Word which tells us that because we Believe in Jesus Christ we have Everlasting Life.

(Through this QT I am so Blessed and encouraged through Apostle Paul’s Gentleness)
------------------
‘Uncorrected Mistakes Can Lead To Sins.’
2 Samuel 11:1-17.
a) 2 Samuel 11:1. A big mistake. King David did not go out to war when he should have done so.
b) 2 Samuel 11:2. David lusted for a beautiful woman bathing on her roof top.
c) 2 Samuel 11:3. She was a married woman.
d) 2 Samuel 11:4. David committed adultery with her. (BY JEWISH LAW – A DEATH SENTENCE)
e) 2 Samuel 11:5. The woman became pregnant.
f) 2 Samuel 11:6-7. David cunningly sent for Uriah the woman’s husband.
g) 2 Samuel 11:8-13. Uriah was such a faithful and good man, a good soldier and servant of David. He would not go home and sleep with his wife.
h) 2 Samuel 11:14-17. David arranged to have Uriah killed in the battle. (BY JEWISH LAW – A DEATH SENTENCE)
(Through this Second one I see that Uncorrected Mistakes Can Lead To Sins)
------------------
Chris.
Many married women who are lonely or neglected by their husbands become “targets” for caring pastors and Church leaders. This can happen because the life of the Church is sometimes so attractive to these women. They are pure but feeling rejected. Most pastors and Church workers are also of a caring nature. This is why every Church and Ministry needs guidelines and boundaries that simply cannot be crossed.

(This QT reminds me that I Should Not Be A Lazy Person)

‘Sanctify Them.’
This is a part of the Prayer of Jesus Christ for His Disciples in John 17. In Old Testament Hebrew the word QADASH means:- sanctify; hallow; dedicate; holy; prepare; consecrate; appointed and purified. HAGIAZO is the word in the New Testament, it means:- sanctify; hallow; be holy. So this Prayer of Jesus Christ has great meaning for His modern day Disciples.
a) John 17:17; Ephesians 5:26. We are Sanctified by the Truth of God’s Word.
b) 1 Thessalonians 5:23. We are Sanctified by God the Father.
c) Hebrews 13:12; 1 Corinthians 1:30. We are Sanctified by the Blood of Jesus.
d) 1 Peter 3:15. We are to Sanctify the Lord God in our hearts.
e) 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:2. We are Sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
f) 1 Thessalonians 4:3. Our Sanctification is the Will of God.
(Through this Second one I have deep comfort and assurance from this Prayer of Jesus Christ: Sanctify Them)
------------------
Chris.
God is the One Who does the major work of Sanctification in us. In our own effort we are to sanctify (or set apart the Lord) in our hearts, that is all. The rest of the work of Sanctification is what the Lord does for us. There is absolutely no room for self righteousness or self holiness in God’s Kingdom.

Recognise The Spirit Of Truth!

‘Recognise The Spirit Of Truth.’
1 John 4:4-6.
a) 1 John 4:4. The Children of God can overcome the influences of the people in the World System because the One Who is in us is greater than the one who is in the World system.
b) 1 John 4:5. The people of the World system are from it. These people speak the viewpoint of the World system and therefore the people in the World system listen to them.
c) 1 John 4:6. The Children and Servants of God are from God.
d) 1 John 4:6. Whoever is from God listens to the Children and Servants of God. The people of the World system do not want to listen to the Children and Servants of God.
e) 1 John 4:6. This is how we recognise the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of falsehood.
(This QT teaches me how to Recognise The Spirit Of Truth)
-----------------
‘Leave Them Alone.’
Matthew 15:14.
a) This is a clear instruction of Jesus.
b) Leave the false teachers and merely religious teachers of the Jewish law alone.
c) These false teachers are the blind leading the blind.
d) If we follow false teachers we will fall into a pit.
(This Second one urges me to Leave Them Alone)
-----------------
Chris.
Truth is so important in the lives of True Believers. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit Who is the Spirit of Truth. We need to live and speak the Truth with the motivation of Love. We need to keep on receiving the Truth that sets and keeps us free. We also need to simply follow Jesus Christ Who is the Truth.

‘God Can Keep Us From Pride.’
2 Corinthians 12:7.
a) This was Apostle Paul’s testimony.
b) He had received much Grace and Spiritual Revelation.
c) God sent Him a thorn in his flesh. (We do not know what the thorn was)
d) It was a messenger from Satan.
e) To beat him and keep Him from being proud.
(This Second one reminds me that the Word of God tells me to humble myself and also shows me that God Can Keep Me From Pride)
----------------
Chris.
God gives testimonies to all of His Children – True Believers. The testimonies that He gives us are unique and for His Glory. We should not covet the testimony of another person but rather Rejoice with them in what the Lord has given to them.
