Wisdom In Mission!



‘Wisdom In Mission.’
Luke 10:1-24.
a)             Luke 10:1. All True Believer missionaries should be appointed and sent by the Lord.
b)            Luke 10:1. If they are sent by the Lord they can be sure that He will accomplish His Will in His Time.
c)             Luke 10:2. There is an abundant harvest.
d)            Luke 10:2. There are few workers.
e)             Luke 10:2. Missionaries are to Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
f)               Luke 10:3. Missionaries need to go, sent by the Lord, as lambs among wolves.
g)            Luke 10:4. There were some ‘do nots’ for the missionaries in Jesus’ days:-
1-           Carry a money bag.
2-           Carry a travelling bag.
3-           Carry spare sandals.
4-           Greet anyone along the road.
h)            Luke 10:4. Today’s translation of this verse may be: Do not be distracted from the purpose of the Mission.
i)                Luke 10:5-7. Stay in one house during the Mission if it is possible. Just have one host.
j)                Luke 10:8. Eat what is set before you.
k)            Luke 10:9; Romans 14:17. Heal the sick and tell them about the Kingdom of God.
l)                Luke 10:10-11. Do not run away from a place that rejects you, be sure to make the Gospel known, then go.
m)         Luke 10:12. The Lord is the Judge and not the Missionary.
n)            Luke 10:13-15. Sombre Messages from the Lord for religious people who rejected the Message of the Kingdom of God.
o)            Luke 10:16. Whoever listens to the Missionary is listening to Christ whoever rejects the Missionary rejects Christ.
p)            Luke 10:17. The Missionaries’ Joy.
q)            Luke 10:18-20. The Word of Caution from Christ.
r)               Luke 10:21-22. Christ’s Proclamation of Praise to the Father.
s)              Luke 10:23-24. The privilege of being a Christ-sent Missionary.

Christ Himself made a Proclamation of Praise to the Father. This is a very good example for us. How often do we make Proclamations of Praise to Him? Even when we gather in Church sometimes we follow the times of singing Praise songs but our heart is not in it, we just sing because other people are singing. Let us make Proclamations of Praise to the Heavenly Father.
