‘Concentrate On The Correct Things.’
Acts 1:7-8.
a)
It is not for us to know the times and the
seasons. (We need to be very careful about people who ‘prophesy’ about such
things)
b)
The Father has put the times and the seasons
in His Own Power.
c)
We need to receive and be filled with
spiritual power.
d)
This happens when the Holy Spirit comes upon
us.
e)
This spiritual power enables us to be
witnesses to and for the Lord in:-
1-
Jerusalem. (Home and
Church home regions)
2-
Judea. (Home Nation and
all peoples in it)
3-
Samaria. (Areas hostile to
the Gospel generally but not necessarily individually)
4-
Uttermost parts of the
Earth.
(This QT urges me to Concentrate On The Correct Things)
‘Thinking May Cause Us To Doubt God.’
Genesis 17:17.
a)
After
receiving God’s Promise.
b)
Abraham, in Worship, fell upon his face on the
ground.
c)
But when he thought Abraham laughed.
d)
Abraham thought about his age (100 years) and
Sarah’s age (90 years).
e)
He thought that this Promise of God was
impossible.
(This Second one teaches me that Thinking May Cause Me To Doubt
God)
Chris.
Abraham’s first response to the Promise of God was to fall face
down on the ground and Worship Him. Abraham should have held on to this
worshipful attitude. When God gives us a Promise, surely He means it. Sometimes
we think and laugh, sometimes we think and doubt. Let us hold on to the
Promise(s) that God gives to us.
