‘Carefully Follow God’s Instructions.’
Numbers 20:8-13.
a)
Numbers 20:8. God told
Moses what to do:-
1-
Take the rod.
2-
Together with Aaron assemble the congregation.
3-
Speak to the rock to bring forth water.
4-
Give everyone and their cattle water to drink.
b)
Numbers 20:9. Moses took
the rod from before the Lord.
c)
Numbers 20:10. Moses was
angry with the people. His attitude was not good.
d)
Numbers 20:10. Moses
gathered the Assembly and called them rebels. He just talked about getting
water from the rock – nothing about God.
e)
Numbers 20:11. Moses hit
the rock with the stick twice and the water came out. All the people had
enough.
f)
Numbers 20:12. Moses’
hitting the rock was the sin of unbelief in God’s Eyes because God said that
Moses should speak to the rock.
g)
Numbers 20:12. Moses was disqualified
by God from leading the people of God into their Promised Land.
h)
Numbers 20:13. The place
was called Meribah, which means striving, because God’s People strove with Him
but eventually He showed them His Holy Power.
(This QT reminds me to Carefully Follow God’s Instructions)
‘Unabashed Pride.’
Genesis 11:4.
a)
The people wanted to
build a city.
b)
The people wanted to
build a tower.
c)
They wanted to make the
top of the tower to reach to Heaven.
d)
They wanted to be famous.
e)
They thought that this
would be safety and security.
(This Second
one shows me what Unabashed Pride is like)
Chris.
We should always avoid
pride in every form. Perhaps the worst kind of pride is unabashed pride, which
is shameless. We can see this in the World system today, especially when people
do not give Glory or Thanks to God for the success that they have. It is
dangerous – unabashed pride.
