‘Too Slow To Understand.’
Hebrews 5:11-14.
a)
Hebrews 5:11. It was difficult for the
Apostles and Teachers to Teach the Hebrew Church because they were dull of
hearing and so slow to understand.
b)
Hebrews 5:12; 6:1; 1 Corinthians 3:1-2.
Although they had been Believers for some times and should have been able to
teach other people, they themselves were still only at the stage of being
taught.
c)
Hebrews 5:13. They were unskilled in the Word
of Righteousness. (Not knowing how to apply God’s Word to their lives)
d)
Hebrews 5:14. They should be mature and able
to distinguish and discern between the good and evil.(They were unable to
discern)
(This QT Is a good lesson for us. We must not be Too Slow To
Understand)
‘Sharing The Righteousness Of God.’
2 Corinthians 5:21.
a)
Christ was without sin.
b)
God made Him Who knew no sin to be sin for us.
c)
So that, in union with Him we might share the
Righteousness of God.
(This Second one reveals the fact to me that I can be Sharing
The Righteousness Of God in union with Christ)
Chris.
All True Believers go through the stage, early in their Life of
Faith of being taught the Word of God and its application to our lives. This is
what elementary Discipleship is all about. As soon as possible we need to learn
how to put our Faith into practise and also how to serve in the Body of Christ.
