Jerusalem was left like a
City under siege.

Jerusalem became as helpless
as a watchman’s hut in a vineyard.

Jerusalem became as helpless
as a shed in a cucumber field.
d)
It was the Lord of Hosts
(the Lord Almighty) who let some of the inhabitants of Jerusalem survive.

Otherwise Jerusalem would
have been completely destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah.

It was the Lord of Hosts that
enabled some of the inhabitants of Jerusalem to survive. This is not only a lesson
of Jewish History. It is also written for our benefit, a lesson for us. This
Earth in many ways is in turmoil, it is in turmoil because of the people’s
increasing greed and lifestyles becoming more and more like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Jesus Prophesied that such things would happen. Our responsibility as True
Believers is not to hide away but to live our daily lives for the Glory of God.
