‘A Long Period Of Prophetic Ministry.’
Isaiah 1:1.
a) Isaiah 6:1. There were
times that Isaiah Prophesied as a result of a vision from God.
b) Isaiah means ‘Jehovah has
Saved’. The Gospel is clearly presented in the Book of Isaiah.
c) Isaiah’s vision and
Prophecy particularly concerned Judea and Jerusalem.
d) Isaiah Prophesied through
the reigns of Kings:-
1- Uzziah.
2- Jotham.
3- Ahaz.
4- Hezekiah.

‘The High And Lofty One.’
Isaiah 57:15.
a) This is the Word of the
Lord.
b) He is the High and Lofty
One.
c) He inhabits Eternity.
d) His Name is Holy.
e) He dwells in the high and
Holy Place.
f) He dwells also with the
person who has a contrite and lowly spirit.
g) He will revive the spirit
of the lowly and humble people.
h) He will revive the heart
of the contrite people.

The name Ahaz means a grasper. It was obviously a difficult time
for God’s People when this man ruled over them. He did not do what was correct
in the sight of the Lord his God. Ahaz was a strong man in battle and yet he
compromised with the World system. He did not regard the Lord’s House as a
place that was Precious or Holy. He was fascinated by idols. It must have been a
hard time in which Isaiah was to prophesy. Some of us may be living and serving
God in similar environments today. God knows, and He is with us!
