‘What Will We Do?’
Isaiah 10:3-4.
a)
In the day of
Visitation when God punishes His People.
b)
Amidst the
desolation and disaster which comes from a distant Nation.
c)
Where will God’s
People run to find help?
d)
Where will God’s
People hide their wealth?
e)
God’s People
will be killed in battle.
f)
God’s People
will be carried off as prisoners.
g)
Even after all
this in the day of visitation, God is still angry.

‘Abraham’s Heart Of Hospitality.’
Genesis 18:1-8.
a)
Genesis 18:1.
The Lord Himself appeared to Abraham as he was sitting at his tenet door during
the hottest part of the day.
b)
Genesis 18:2. As
Abraham looked up he saw three men standing there. (These men were Angels)
c)
Genesis 18:2.
When Abraham saw them he ran out to meet them and bowed himself to the Earth. (He
honoured the men)
d)
Genesis 18:3.
Abraham asked these men to stop by and he would serve them.(He wanted to serve
the men)
e)
Genesis 18:4.
Abraham gave them comfort and rest first. (True hospitality is not rushed)
f)
Genesis 18:5.
Abraham was and felt so honoured by the visit of these men.
g)
Genesis 18:5.
Abraham wanted to give them food also so that they would have strength for
their continuing journey.
h)
Genesis 18:5.
The men accepted Abraham’s simple hospitality. (Hospitality does not have to be
complicated and exhausting)
i)
Genesis 18:6-7.
Abraham arranged the meal. Sarah and the servant helped with the preparation.
j)
Genesis 18:8.
Abraham served the men a delicious meal himself and the men ate.

Hospitality
ministers to those being served in many different ways. In the case of Abraham
and the Angels it was to do with strength for the journey which they had to
take. I will not make a long list of reasons for giving hospitality. It is a
very selfless Ministry and those people who give it with a pure heart and pure
motives will be Blessed.
