Hebrews 9:18. The First Covenant was dedicated
and inaugurated with Blood.

Hebrews 9:19. Moses spoke the Commandments and
the Law to the people.

Hebrews 9:19. To sprinkle on the Book of the
Law and the people Moses took:-

Blood of calves.

Blood of goats.
3-
Water.
4-
Scarlet wool.

Hyssop.

Hebrews 9:20; Exodus 24:8. After the
sprinkling Moses said that the Blood was the Blood of the Covenant that God
Commanded for His People.

Hebrews 9:21. Moses also sprinkled with Blood
the Tabernacle and all the vessels used for Worship.

Hebrews 9:22. Under God’s Law, almost
everything was purified with Blood and without Blood there was no forgiveness
of sins.

The Bible refers to water used for washing in both the Old and
New Testaments. The washing of our lives by and through the water of the Word
of God is one very significant reference. We need to take time to read, or even
to study, God’s Word because His Word washes us.
