His powerful hand grabbed hold of kingdoms whose people worship statues of gods.
They had more gods than Jerusalem and Samaria.

Isaiah 10:11. He
took over Samaria and its statues of gods. In the same way he planned to take
Jerusalem and its gods.

Because
of the sinful greed of the proud King of Samaria he took many cities and
places. He was compelled by his inane greed to take. We should never be greedy.
Greed can actually become a compulsive problem that dominates our lives. Rather
than greed we should focus on generosity.
