‘The Proud King Of Assyria.’
Isaiah 10:8-11.
a)    Isaiah 10:8. He said that all his commanders are ‘kings’.
b)    Isaiah 10:9. He took:-
1-    Carno.
2-    Carchemish.
3-    Hamath.
4-    Arpad.
5-    Samaria.
6-    Damascus.
c)     Isaiah 10:10. His powerful hand grabbed hold of kingdoms whose people worship statues of gods. They had more gods than Jerusalem and Samaria.
d)    Isaiah 10:11. He took over Samaria and its statues of gods. In the same way he planned to take Jerusalem and its gods.

2 Kings 18:4.
a)    He removed the high places of heathen worship.
b)    He broke the pillars.
c)     He smashed the sacred stones.
d)    He cut down the poles used to worship Asherah.
e)     He broke into pieces the bronze snake that Moses had made because the children of Israel burned incense to it, they called it Nehushtan. (It means piece of brass)

Because of the sinful greed of the proud King of Samaria he took many cities and places. He was compelled by his inane greed to take. We should never be greedy. Greed can actually become a compulsive problem that dominates our lives. Rather than greed we should focus on generosity.
