Isaiah 9:2. The
people who walked in darkness have seen a great Light.

people who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them the Light has
shined.

Lord has multiplied the Nation.

Lord has increased the Nation’s Joy and they Rejoice before Him as with Joy at
the harvest time or as people Rejoice when they divide the spoils.

Isaiah 9:4. The
Lord has broken:-

The yoke of their burden.

The bar across their shoulders.

The rod of their oppressor.

Isaiah 9:5. All the boots of the tramping warriors and all the garments rolled in blood shall be burned as fuel for the fire.

Isaiah 9:6-7. For unto us a Child
is born and a Son is given:-
1-
The Government and Authority shall rest upon His Shoulders.
2-
He is Named Wonderful Counsellor.
3-
He is Named Mighty God.
4-
He is Named Everlasting Father.
5-
He is Named Prince of Peace.
6-
Of the increase of His Government and Peace there
shall be no end.
7-
He will establish and uphold the Throne of David and
his kingdom with Justice and Righteousness for evermore.

The Bible tells us that we should be willing to share in the
sufferings of our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. This kind of sharing is not just
pity and Prayer, it is also, in some ways, meant to be practical. Yes, the
Church needs to reach out evangelistically to the un-churched and destitute
poor and many Churches are doing that in some way, some with Wisdom and others
not. Here however Apostle Paul is writing about Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
How can we help them wherever they are?
