‘Seek God And Do Not
Be Misguided.’
Isaiah 9:13-16.
a)
Isaiah 9:13. Even after all
the correction that the Lord had given to His People they did not:-
1-
Return to God.
2-
Change their ways.
3-
Correct their paths.
4-
Seek the Lord of Hosts.
b)
Isaiah 9:14. Because of this
God will cut them down like palm trees.
c)
Isaiah 9:15. The Religious
and Political Leaders used their power in the worst possible ways.
d)
Isaiah 9:15. The prophets taught
lies.
e)
Isaiah 9:16. The people have
been misled by their misguided leaders and they have been swallowed up in the
deceit of these misguided leaders too.
(This QT counsels me: Seek God And Do Not Be Misguided)
‘Eyewitnesses Of His Majesty.’
2 Peter 1:16.
a)
Apostle Peter’s Message was
about the Power and Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
b)
His Message was not
cunningly devised fables.
c)
Peter and other Apostles had
seen the Glorious Majesty of the Lord Jesus.
(This Second one
teaches me about the reliability of the words brought by Eyewitnesses Of His
Majesty)
Chris.
The people did not
return to God even though He called them back to Himself many times. This was
Bible History, especially through the days of the Old Testament. Times have not
changed much spiritually, even in these days God’s People sometimes wander away
from Him. God longs for these people to return and surely He is calling them
back to Himself.
