Isaiah 10:12-14.
a)
Isaiah 10:12. In the Lord’s
Time and Will He will punish arrogant hearts and haughty looks.
b)
Isaiah 10:13. The pride of
the King of Assyria. He said:-
1-
By the strength of my hand I have done it.
2-
By my wisdom.
3-
I am prudent.
4-
I have removed boundaries.
5-
I have robbed them.
6-
I have put down the inhabitants.
c)
Isaiah 10:14. He said that
his hand had found riches and nobody moved against him.

‘No Sign Seeking In Unbelief Please.’
Matthew 16:1-4.
a)
Matthew 16:1. The Pharisees
and Sadducees came to Jesus testing Him. They wanted Him to show them a sign
from Heaven.
b)
Matthew 16:2-3. Jesus told
them about their reading of the skies. (How the skies were a sign to them)
c)
Matthew 16:3. Jesus called
these Pharisees and Sadducees hypocrites because they could read the signs of
the skies but they could not discern the signs of the times.
d)
Matthew 16:4. Jesus said
that it was a wicked and adulterous generation that seeks after a sign and no
sign was given except the sign of Jonah.
e)
Matthew 16:4. Then Jesus
left them and departed.

Proud people can
never give any Glory to God for what He has done in their lives. They talk
about their strength of hand, they talk about their achievements and they talk
about themselves a lot. This is not just a problem it is also sin and if the
sin is not repented of God may take some action against it because He does not
like pride.
