Isaiah
13:6-9.
a) Isaiah 13:6.
It was a time of wailing and destruction.
b) Isaiah 13:7.
It was a time when all human hands were feeble and hearts were faint.
c) Isaiah 13:8.
The men of Babylon were:-
1- Dismayed.
2- Terrified.
3- Taken over by pangs.
4- Taken over by sorrows.
5- In pain as a woman in childbirth.
6- Gazing stupefied and aghast at one another.
7- Flushed with fear on their faces.
d) Isaiah 13:9.
It came as a Day of the Lord. There was fierce and raging anger. The land
became desolate and sinners were destroyed.

Lord’s Challenge To Job.’
Job
38:1-4.
a) Job 38:1.
The Lord spoke to Job out of a raging whirlwind storm.
b) Job 38:2.
The Lord asks who is darkening counsel by words without knowledge.
c) Job 38:3.
Job had to gird up his loins in a manly way.
d) Job 38:3.
The Lord would demand of Job and then Job was to declare to Him.
e) Job 38:4.
The Lord asked Job where he was when the Lord laid the foundation of the Earth.
f) Job 38:4. The Lord challenged Job to answer Him if
he had understanding.

To be terrified is a most horrible experience and
people who have never been terrified cannot fully understand what it is like. I
am sure that God wants to bring His Peace and Calm to the person who is
terrified. When that Peace and Calm comes the person can think and act in a
rational way again.
