‘We Are Known By Our Fruit.’
Matthew 7:16-27.
a)
Matthew
7:16. We will be known and fully recognised by our fruit. Grapes will not come
from thorns and figs will not come from thistles.
b)
Matthew 7:17.
Every sound tree bears good fruit and every sickly tree bears bad fruit.
c)
Matthew
7:18. A tree that is healthy and sound cannot bear bad fruit and a bad or
diseased tree cannot bear good fruit.
d)
Matthew
7:19. Every tree that does not bear fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
e)
Matthew
7:20. We will know people by their fruit.
f)
Matthew
7:21. Not every person who calls Jesus ‘Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Only those people who do the Will of the Heavenly Father will enter the Kingdom
of Heaven.
g)
Matthew
7:22. On the Judgement Day many people will claim:-
1-
That they Prophesied.
2-
That they cast out demons.
3-
That they did mighty works.
h)
Matthew
7:23. The Lord will declare to these people that He never knew them and that as
evil doers they were to depart from Him.
i)
Mathew 7:24.
Everyone
then who hears these words of Jesus Christ and does them will be like a wise
man who built his house upon the rock.
j)
Matthew 7:25. Because
the house was founded on the rock it did not fall when:-
1-
Rains fell.
2-
Floods came.
3-
Winds blew.
k)
Matthew 7:26. Everyone
who hears the Words of Jesus but does not do them will be like a foolish man who
built his house upon the sand.
l)
Matthew 7:27. This
house built on the sand fell in a devastated way when:-
1-
Rains fell.
2-
Floods came.
3-
Winds blew.
(This QT
clearly teaches me that I Am Known By My Fruit)
‘They
Knew God But Did Not Glorify Him As God.’
Romans
1:20-23.
a)
Romans 1:20. We are
all without excuse because ever since the Creation of the World God’s invisible
Nature, His Eternal Power and Deity have clearly been perceived in the things
that have been made. So all people are without excuse.
b)
Romans 1:21. Although
the people knew God they did not honour God or give thanks to Him. They became
futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened.
c)
Romans 1:22. Claiming
to be wise, they became fools.
d)
Romans 1:23. They
exchanged the Glory of the Immortal God for images resembling:-
1-
Mortal man.
2-
Birds.
3-
Animals.
4-
Reptiles.
(This
Second one shows me that They Knew God But Did Not Glorify Him As God)
Chris.
Although
the people knew God they did not honour Him as God. When this situation starts
to happen it is the time that the Church empties out and the Nation turns away
from God. There are so many people in this World who know God but they do not
honour Him as God.
