‘God’s Living Temple.’
1 Corinthians 3:11-17.
a) 1 Corinthians 3:11. For no
one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that
foundation is Jesus Christ.
b) 1
Corinthians 3:12. People will want to build on the Foundation with:-
1- Gold.
2- Silver.
3- Precious Stones.
4- Wood.
5- Hay.
6- Straw.
c) 1
Corinthians 3:13. The work of every builder will be tested by fire.
d) 1
Corinthians 3:14. If what is built survives the test the builder will have a
reward.
e) 1
Corinthians 3:15. If what is built is burned up because it fails the test that
builder will survive even though they pass through the fire.
f)
1 Corinthians 3:16. We are God’s Temple and
God’s Spirit dwells in us.
g) 1
Corinthians 3:17. If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that
person. For God’s temple is Holy, and you are that temple.

Incorrect Way Of Thinking.’

Chronicles 28:23.
a) King
Ahaz sacrificed to the gods of Damascus which had defeated him.
b) He
reasoned that because these gods helped them that they would help him too.
c) They
were the ruin of King Ahaz and all Israel.
(This Second one shows me An Incorrect Way Of
Thinking)

Straw is something that is not reliable for
building buildings with. In some poor Nations people live in simple houses made
of mud and straw. If the weather is bad these house will easily be destroyed.
Compassionate Missionaries or Governments can surely help these poor people to
build another way.
