Hebrews 11:35-39.
a)
Hebrews 11:35-37: Old testament Believers
suffered:-
1-
Torture
and they refused to be released so that they could get a better resurrection.
2-
Public
shame by being taunted.
3-
Public
shame by being whipped.
4-
Being
put in chains and prison.
5-
Stoning
to death.
6-
Being
cut in two.
7-
Death
by being murdered with swords.
b)
Hebrews 11:37. They went around wearing the
skins of sheep and goats:-
1-
Needy.
2-
Oppressed.
3-
Mistreated.
c)
Hebrews 11:38. The World was not worthy of them,
they wandered around in:-
1-
Deserts.
2-
Mountains.
3-
Caves.
4-
Holes
in the ground.
d)
Hebrews 11:39. All
these people didn’t receive what was promised, though they were given approval
for their Faith.
(To me this QT is so challenging: Testimonies Of Faith)
‘Jesus’ Promise To His Ministering Disciples.’
Matthew 28:20.
a)
Pass it on… Teach the
people everything that He taught His Ministering Disciples.
b)
Jesus Promised to be
with these Ministering Disciples every day.
c)
Even until the end of
this present age.
(This
Second one is very encouraging: Jesus’ Promise To His Ministering Disciples)
Chris.
Some of those Old
Testament True Believers went around in the most simple and poor clothes. We
are not to copy their dress style but our hearts should be humble like theirs. Many
times they were in need of a host of things and they were oppressed by their
enemies. They were often mistreated but continued to walk in Faith. This should
encourage our Faith too.
