(This QT answers my

‘Angry Church
Leaders Lose Their Anointing And Their Way’
Numbers 20:7-12.
a) Numbers 20:7. These were
the Words of the Lord to Moses. (He was the Leader of God’s People at that
time)
b) Numbers 20:8. The Lord
spoke these words to Moses: Take the staff and
assemble the community, you and Aaron your brother, and then speak to the rock
before their eyes. It will pour forth its water, and you will bring water out
of the rock for them, and so you will give the community and their livestock
water to drink.
c) Numbers
20:9. At first Moses did what the Lord said. He held the rod of God.
d) Numbers
20:10. When calling the community of God’s People together Moses’ anger came
out. He called his own people rebels.
e) Numbers
20:11. Moses then struck the rock with the rod (in anger). Water came out
because God loved His People – not because of Moses.
f)
Numbers 20:12. Moses’ sin:-
1- Anger.
2- Not trusting what the Lord had said.
3- Not simply revealing the holiness of God.
4- Prevented him from leading God’s People to
their Promised Land.
(This Second one teaches me that Angry Church
Leaders Lose Their Anointing And Their Way)
Chris.
God’s People, wherever they are, have different
Leaders at different times. It may be Leaders who come and go from the local
Church. It may be our move, we move from one place or Church to another and so
have a new set of Leaders. It may be a Ministry or Mission office that we serve
and the Leadership changes. It also may be the seminary in which we study that
has a change of president or faculty. The most important thing is our Leaders
now. These Leaders should be hearing God for our Church, Office or Seminary this
is why it is important for us to Pray for our Leaders at the present time.
