‘We Should Run Our Race.’
Hebrews 12:1-2.
a)
The race is laid out in front of us (planned)
by the Lord.
b)
From Hebrews 11 we are surrounded by so many
examples of Faith.
c)
We must get rid of everything that slows us
down.
d)
We must get rid of sin that distracts us.
e)
We should run the race that is in front of us
and never give up.
f)
We should focus and fix our eyes on Jesus.
g)
Jesus is the Source and Goal of our Faith.
h)
Jesus endured the Cross.
i)
Jesus ignored the shame of a criminal’s death
for the sake of the Joy that was laid out in front of Him.
j)
Now Jesus is sat down on the Right side of God’s
Throne.

At the peak of their wrath wicked people do
not seek God.

The thoughts of these wicked people who are
angry conclude.

That there is no God.

We should run the race in front of us and never give up.
The race that God gives to every one of us is different. Our responsibility is
to run our race. We cannot run another person’s race for them. There are times
that we feel like giving up but we do not – we continue to run our race.
