‘Moses’ Faith.’
Hebrews 11:24-28.
a)
Hebrews 11:24. Because Moses
had Faith he would not be called the son of Pharaoh’s Daughter when he grew up.
b)
Hebrews 11:25. Rather than
have the fleeting enjoyment of a sinful life, Moses preferred to:-
1-
Share the oppression of the People of God.
2-
Bear the shame of the People of God.
3-
Suffer the hardships of the People of God.
c)
Hebrews 11:26. Any shame
that Moses suffered for Christ was worth more than all the riches in Egypt.
Moses kept his eyes on the reward that God was going to give him.
d)
Hebrews 11:27. Because Moses
had Faith he left Egypt. He was not afraid of the king’s anger. Moses did not
turn from the correct way but kept seeing God in front of him.
e)
Hebrews 11:28. Because Moses
had Faith, he told all the Jews to put blood over their doors. Then the Angel
of death would pass over their houses and not kill their oldest sons.
(Through this QT I am inspired by Moses’ Faith)
‘We Have The Ministry Of Reconciliation.’
2 Corinthians 5:18.
a)
All things come from God,
Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself.
b)
God has received us into
favour and brought us into harmony with Himself.
c)
God has given to us the
Ministry of Reconciliation. This Ministry means that by word and deed we might
aim to bring others into harmony with Him.
(Through
this Second one I Rejoice that I Have The Ministry Of Reconciliation)
Chris.
Moses chose to bear the
shame of the People of God rather than to choose his royal position in Egypt.
This is one of many examples of Moses’ humility. It is never correct to ‘use’ powerful
and authoritative worldly position for the furtherance of the Gospel. If we
attempt to do that, or ask other people to do it for us then we are actually
belittling the Name and Cause of Christ Who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
