We Have Not Come To Mount Sinai!

‘We Have Not Come To Mount Sinai.’
Hebrews 12:18-21.
a)      Hebrews 12:18. We have not come to Mount Sinai that cannot be touched and on it were manifested:-
1-     Fire.
2-     Blackness.
3-     Darkness.
4-     Storm.
b)     Hebrews 12:19. Mount Sinai was a frightening place. There was the sound of a trumpet and the Voice of Words. The people who heard the Voice were so afraid that they pleaded with it to stop.
c)      Hebrews 12:20; Exodus 19:12-13.  Mount Sinai was the place where the people could not stand the command that even if an animal touches the mountain it should be stoned to death.
d)     Hebrews 12:21. The sight of Mount Sinai was so terrible that Moses said that he was terrified and shaking.
(This QT reveals to me, and I am so thankful, that I Have Not Come To Mount Sinai)

‘It Is Really Very Simple.’
Genesis 2:24.
a)      A man shall leave his father and his mother.
b)     He shall hold fast to his wife.
c)      They shall become one flesh.
(This Second one reminds me that It Is Really Very Simple)

Chris.
Sometimes we are shocked, or even frightened, by manifestations that we are not used to. They may be natural manifestations like a tsunami, a typhoon or a heavy snow storm these can be really frightening to the person who is not used to them. They may be manifestations that are in some way created by human beings. At those difficult times of shock and fear God wants to help us and comfort us.
