(This QT is making me ponder upon Concerning
The Times And Seasons)
‘Jesus Christ Was Sentenced To
Death For Us.’
Matthew 26:59-66.
a)
Matthew 26:59. All the Jewish religious
leaders sought false testimonies against Jesus so that they could sentence Him
to death.
b)
Matthew 26:60. For a while they could not find
any, then two false witnesses came forward.
c)
Matthew 26:61. They falsely accused Jesus
about the words that He spoke.
d)
Matthew 26:62-63. Jesus kept silent.
e)
Matthew 26:64. Then Jesus spoke about Eternal
Things.
f)
Matthew 26:65-66. The Jewish High Priest
accused Jesus of blasphemy and He was sentenced to death.
(Through this Second one I thank God that Jesus Christ
Was Sentenced To Death For Me)
Chris.
Jesus kept silent. That silence teaches me many things.
Sometimes when we are falsely accused we want to speak out or demand Justice.
That speaking out is not always God’s Way. There are times that we need to keep
silent because that is what God wants us to do. This is a lesson that I am
still learning. I need to discern when to keep silent and when to speak out.
