Concerning The Times And Seasons!

‘Concerning The Times And Seasons.’
1 Thessalonians 5:1-10.
a)       1 Thessalonians 5:1-2. We know that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
b)       1 Thessalonians 5:3. People who are not True Believers will be living in deception thinking and saying that everything is peace and safety.
c)       1 Thessalonians 5:4. We True Believers are not living in darkness that the Day of the Lord will overtake and surprise us like a thief.
d)       1 Thessalonians 5:5. We are:-
1-      People of day.
2-      People of light.
3-      Not people of night.
4-      Not people of darkness.
e)       1 Thessalonians 5:6. We should:-
1-      Not sleep.
2-      Watch.
3-      Be sober.
f)        1 Thessalonians 5:7. Sleeping and drinking alcohol are things of the night.
g)       1 Thessalonians 5:8. Because we True Believers are people of the day we should:-
1-      Be sober.
2-      Put on the breastplate of Faith and Love.
3-      Put on the helmet of the Hope of Salvation.
h)       1 Thessalonians 5:9. God has not destined True Believers for wrath.
i)         1 Thessalonians 5:9. God has destined us to obtain Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
j)         1 Thessalonians 5:10. Christ has died for us so that now, whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.

‘Jesus Christ Was Sentenced To Death For Us.’
Matthew 26:59-66.
a)       Matthew 26:59. All the Jewish religious leaders sought false testimonies against Jesus so that they could sentence Him to death.
b)       Matthew 26:60. For a while they could not find any, then two false witnesses came forward.
c)       Matthew 26:61. They falsely accused Jesus about the words that He spoke.
d)       Matthew 26:62-63. Jesus kept silent.
e)       Matthew 26:64. Then Jesus spoke about Eternal Things.
f)        Matthew 26:65-66. The Jewish High Priest accused Jesus of blasphemy and He was sentenced to death.
(Through this Second one I thank God that Jesus Christ Was Sentenced To Death For Me)

Chris.
Jesus kept silent. That silence teaches me many things. Sometimes when we are falsely accused we want to speak out or demand Justice. That speaking out is not always God’s Way. There are times that we need to keep silent because that is what God wants us to do. This is a lesson that I am still learning. I need to discern when to keep silent and when to speak out.
