See The Church)
‘Freedom Is The Will Of Jesus Christ For His People.’
John 8:31-36.
a)
John 8:31. Jesus was
speaking to the Jewish people who had Believed in Him.
b)
John 8:31; 15:7-8.
They were to continue in His Word and truly be His Disciples. (This was the
alternative to staying in their traditions)
c)
John 8:32; Romans 8:2.
They would then know the Truth and the Truth would make them free.
d)
John 8:33. These
Believing Jews had an incorrect concept because of their religious background.
e)
John 8:34. Jesus
taught them about the bondage of sin.
f)
John 8:35. Slaves are
not a permanent part of the family. Only sons and daughters are a permanent
part of the family.
g)
John 8:36; 1 Peter
2:16. If the Son sets us free then we are free indeed.
(This Second
one teaches me that Freedom Is The Will Of Jesus Christ For His People)
Chris.
We cannot
stay in religious traditions that bind us. We need to be living in the Truths
of God’s Word. If we live in religious traditions, whatever kind of traditions
they are, we can never grow and develop as True Believers. It was not only the
Jews of Jesus’ days that had to face this issue. Many sincere “Christian”
people face this issue today. Do we stay in religious traditions that bind us,
or do we let the Son of God set us free to live a new life in Him?
