Many of us need to learn the secret of being slow to speak! I
know that I do! There are many repercussions associated with speaking too
quickly. In Ministry we are very tempted to judge people and “know their
problem” even before they share with us. We are not really listening to them at
all, we are just waiting to have our say as soon as, or even before, they have
finished. Even in general daily conversation it is difficult to converse with
someone who is not slow to speak. We cannot share confiding with a person who
is not slow to speak.
