Go And Show Mercy!

‘Go And Show Mercy.’
Luke 10:25-37.
a)   Luke 10:25. A Jewish expert in the Law stood up and put Jesus to the test. He thought only about doing. He wanted to know what to do to inherit Eternal Life.
b)   Luke 10:26. Jesus asked the expert what was written in the Law and how did he read or understand it.
c)   Luke 10:27. The expert answered Jesus thus: You shall Love:-
1-  The Lord your God with all your heart.
2-  The Lord your God with all your soul.
3-  The Lord your God with all your strength.
4-  The Lord your God with all your mind.
5-  Your neighbour as yourself.
d)   Luke 10:28. Jesus told the expert that he had said correctly. He told him to go and do these things and he would live.
e)   Luke 10:29. The expert wanted to justify himself so he asked Jesus who his neighbour was.
f)   Luke 10:30. Jesus told the expert about a man who was going from Jerusalem to Jericho. This man was attacked by robbers who:-
1-  Stripped him.
2-  Beat him.
3-  Departed.
4-  Left him half dead.
g)   Luke 10:31-32. A priest came by the man and a Levite also came by. They crossed to the other side of the road and ignored the man.
h)   Luke 10:33. But a journeying Samaritan:-
1-  Came to the man.
2-  Saw the man.
3-  Had compassion on the man.
i)   Luke 10:34.The Samaritan:-
1-  Dressed the man’s wounds.
2-  Set him on his own animal.
3-  Took him to an inn to recover there.
j)   Luke 10:35.The Samaritan paid for the man’s stay at the inn, as long as he needed so that he could recover.
k)   Luke 10:36. Jesus asked the expert who of those three men was a neighbour.
l)   Luke 10:37. The expert said that it was the Samaritan who showed Mercy. Jesus had answered the expert’s question and He told him to go and do the same as that Samaritan did.

Chris.

When Jesus speaks into someone’s life, whether the person is a True Believer or not, the Words that Jesus speaks will be well understood by the person or people that He is speaking to. So when we know that Jesus is speaking to us in some way we should pay close attention to it.
