‘The Burden Of Damascus.’
Isaiah 17:1-3.
a) Isaiah 17:1. This is the
burden of Damascus, it was taken away from being a city, it was to become a
ruinous heap.
b) Isaiah 17:2. The cities
of Aroer were forsaken, they were to become places for flocks which will lie
down peacefully and there would be no one to make them afraid.
c)
Isaiah 17:3. There will be:-
1- No fortress in Ephraim.
2- No kingdom from Damascus.
3- A miserable remnant of Syria.
(This QT: The Burden Of Damascus, causes me to pray for the
Nation of Syria and its current difficult situation)
‘Lovely Words Of Life.’
Isaiah 52:7-8.
a) These Words are spoken by
people who have beautiful feet as they journey on the mountains.
b) These people:-
1- Publish Peace.
2- Announce Glad Tidings of Good.
3- Publish Salvation.
4- Say to Zion that Zion’s God Reigns.
c)
The Voices of the Watchmen:-
1- Shall be lifted up.
2- Shall sing together.
3- Shall see eye to eye with Jehovah when He returns to Zion.
(This Second one Blesses me with Lovely Words Of Life)
Chris.
God knows the future. Nothing takes Him by surprise. That is why
He gave the Message that “there will be”! Only God knows the future like that.
Sometimes people make predictions about various things, but they are only
predictions. God knows the future.
