‘Outside.’
Hebrews 13:11-13.
a)
Hebrews 13:11. For
the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the Sanctuary by the
High Priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp.
b)
Hebrews 13:12. Jesus also suffered outside the
City Gate in order to sanctify the people with His Own Blood.
c)
Hebrews 13:13. Let us go to Jesus outside the
camp and bear the abuse He endured.
(This QT reminds me that a part of my time is to be Outside
the camp, bearing the abuse that Jesus endured)
‘One New Humanity Living In Peace.’
Ephesians 2:15.
a)
In His Flesh, Jesus has abolished the
Commandments and Ordinances.
b)
Jesus has created in Himself one humanity, in
place of the Jew and Gentile.
c)
Jesus has made Peace.
(I thank God that, through the Cross, Jesus has made One New
Humanity Living In Peace. It is only through the Cross that we can experience
Peace)
Chris.
The bodies of the animals burned for Sacrifice in the Old Testament
days were burned outside the camp. The interior of the camp, the place for
Worship and the dwelling places were always kept as clean as possible. To keep
inside clean was not just a duty, it was the desire of God’s People to be clean
both inside and outside. If we, today, are God’s People, we should surely have
the same desire.
