‘Reverence In God’s House.’
Ecclesiastes 5:1-2.
a)
We are to guard our steps
when we go to the House of God.
b)
We are to draw near to
God in obedience.
c)
Do not offer the
sacrifice of fools.
d)
Fools, being fools
ignorantly do wrong. (In God’s House ignorance is not an excuse)
e)
Do not be hasty to speak
to other people in God’s House. (I believe this refers to the Worship
Sanctuary)
f)
Do not impulsively make a
speech before God.
g)
God is in Heaven and we
are on Earth so our words should be few.
(I am encouraged in this QT to have Reverence In God’s House)
‘The True Vine.’
John 15:1-5.
a)
John 15:1. Jesus Christ
is the True Vine.
b)
John 15:1. Heavenly
Father is the Vineyard Keeper.
c)
John 15:2. Every branch
in Jesus Christ that does not produce fruit our Heavenly Father removes.
d)
John 15:2. Heavenly
Father prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more
fruit.
e)
John 15:3. We are clean
because of the Word that Jesus Christ speaks to us.
f)
John 15:4. We are to remain
in Jesus Christ and He Will remain in us.
g)
John 15:4. We can only
produce fruit in our lives if we remain in Jesus Christ.
h)
John 15:5. Jesus Christ is
the Vine and we are the Branches.
i)
John 15:5. If we remain
in Jesus Christ and He remains in us then we will produce much fruit.
j)
John 15:5. We can do
nothing without Jesus Christ.
(Through
this Second one I long to remain in The True Vine)
Chris.
Have reverence
in God’s House. The word reverence means deep respect. There is no artificial ‘holiness’
here. There is not necessarily silence, although sometimes there may be.
Reverence has nothing to do with the clothes that we wear to Church. Reverence
means deep respect. Reverence in God’s House means deep respect for God.
