Proverbs 1:7.
a) The Fear of the Lord is
the beginning of Knowledge.
b) Fools despise Wisdom.
c) Fools despise
Instruction.

‘Serving God Well.’
a) John 15:5. We can do
nothing without Jesus Christ.
b) 2 Corinthians 4:7. We
have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the
power will be of God and not from ourselves.
c) 2 Corinthians 2:16. Who
is sufficient for these things.
d) Philippians 3:7. Whatever
things were gain to me, those things have I counted loss for the sake of
Christ. More than that, I count all things loss in view of the surpassing
value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.
e) 2 Timothy 2:15. Do your
best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who has no need to
be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of Truth.
f) 1 Corinthians 10:31. Do
all things for the Glory of God.
g) Matthew 5:16. We should
let our light so shine before men, that they may see our good works and Glorify
our Father Who is in Heaven.
h) 1 Peter 4:11. We should
serve in the strength which God supplies: in order that in everything God may
be Glorified through Jesus Christ.
i) Galatians 3:5. As we
serve we should have Faith in Christ.
j) 1 Corinthians 15:10. We
are motivated through our identity in Christ.

The surpassing Greatness of the Power is of God and not
of ourselves. We need very much to realise as we do God’s Work we need God’s
Power. If we attempt to do God’s Work in our own strength and power we are
going to have an empty tank very soon. We need to look to God, His Love is
Wonderful and His Power is Great.
