‘Promises To God.’
Ecclesiastes 5:4-6.
a) Ecclesiastes 5:4. When we
make a promise to God we should not delay to fulfil it.
b) Ecclesiastes 5:4. God
does not delight in fools.
c) Ecclesiastes 5:4. We
should fulfil what we promise.
d) Ecclesiastes 5:5. It is
better that we do not promise than we promise and do not fulfil it.
e) Ecclesiastes 5:6. We
should not let our mouths bring guilt on us.
f) Ecclesiastes 5:6. We
should never tell another person that our promise to God was a mistake.
g) Ecclesiastes 5:6. We
should not make God angry with our words.
h) Ecclesiastes 5:6. If God
is angry with our words then the work of our hands may be destroyed.
(Through this
QT I realise the seriousness of Promises To God)
----------
‘Aloes.’
a) Song of Solomon 4:14;
Psalm 45:8. Make beautiful perfume.
b) Numbers 24:6. Are planted
by the Lord.
c) Proverbs 7:17. Make the
bedroom and bed have a delightful fragrance.
d) John 19:39. Are useful in
the procedure of burial for dead bodies.
(Through this Second one I value the correct
use of Aloes and I realise that they are not meant for human consumption)

Chris.
Fulfil our Promises to God and before God.
This is a basic principle of God’s Word and should be a principle for every
True Believer. If we break our Promises to other people that certainly wounds
them and would cause them not to trust us again. When we break our promise to
God that is very serious and we must repent of it so that we can have a
restored relationship with Him. Not many times is Father God angry with His
Children but He is angry when we break our real promises to Him.
