‘A Parable Of The
Kingdom Of Heaven.’
(This is one of the
many Parables told by Jesus Christ)
Matthew 18:23-35.
a)
Matthew 18:23. Jesus said that
the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who decided to check on his
servants’ accounts.
b) Matthew 18:24. In the early part of this checking
a servant was brought in who owed the king millions of dollars.
c)
Matthew 18:25. The servant did
not have enough money to pay his debt.
d) Matthew 18:25. The king ordered the servant
and his wife and children to be sold as slaves with all that he had and the
money from the sale could help pay off a little of that huge debt.
e)
Matthew 18:26. The servant fell
on his knees before the king and begged the king to be patient with him, that
he would pay back everything. (This was impossible)
f)
Matthew 18:27. The king:-
1-Felt sorry for him:-
2-Forgave him the debt.
3-Let him go.
g) Matthew 18:28. The forgiven man went out and
grabbed another servant who owed him a few dollars.
h) Matthew 18:28. The forgiven servant started to
choke this man and told him to pay what he owed him.
i)
Matthew 18:29. The servant that
was being choked cried out for mercy. He fell down and begged the forgiven
servant to be patient with him and he would pay back the little that he owed.
(It was really possible)
j)
Matthew 18:30. The forgiven man
refused to forgive his debtor and threw him into the prison.
k)
Matthew 18:31. All the fellow
servants:-
1- Saw what was done.
2- Were very sorry.
3- Went and told the master.
l)
Matthew 18:32. The master
called the forgiven servant and rebuked him.
m) Matthew
18:33. The forgiven servant should have shown mercy just as he received mercy.
n) Matthew 18:34. The king was very angry and
sent that first servant to the prison until he paid the debt. (It means a life
sentence)
o) Matthew 18:35. The Kingdom of Heaven
application from Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father will treat every one of us
the same way if we do not forgive our brother from our heart.

‘On Being United With Christ.’
Philippians 3:9-11.
a)
Philippians 3:9. Means that:-
1- We trust no longer in self righteousness.
2- We now have Righteousness that is given
to us through Faith in Christ.
3- This is the Righteousness that comes from
God and is based on Faith.
b) Philippians 3:10. Then all we want:-
1- Is to know Christ.
2- Is to experience the Power of His
Resurrection.
3- Is to share in Christ’s sufferings.
4- Is to be like Him in His Death.
c)
Philippians 3:11. If we are
united with Christ then we have Hope that we will be raised from death to Life.
(This Second one
gives me plenty to ponder upon: On Being United With Christ)

Chris.
The Teachings of Jesus Christ do not only
satisfy our intellect but they also call for application. In the Letters of
Paul, Peter John and Jude we have the same pattern, very amazing and wonderful
theological argument and words that satisfy our intellect, but also a very
clear and loud call from those Scriptures for application.
