more attention to what we have heard of God’s Word so that we shall not drift
away.

spoken through Angels was valid and reliable.

transgression and disobedience received a just punishment.

escape if we neglect so great a Salvation?

‘Vipers.’
a)
Isaiah 59:5. Lay poisonous
eggs.

Jeremiah 8:17. Are sometimes
sent by the Lord.

Matthew 12:34; 23:33. Jesus
used the word to condemn religious and hypocritical priests.

Romans 3:13. If we are
unrepentant and still in our sins we may have viper’s venom under our lips.

Vipers are sometimes
sent by the Lord, especially in His Acts of judgement upon sin. God is
incredibly patient we can see that very clearly in the Old Testament in His
Dealings with His Jewish people. Again in the New Testament through the
Ministry of Our Lord we can see God’s incredible patience. He can, however, and
sometimes does, send ‘vipers’ in His Acts of judgment.
