‘Doing The Correct Thing.’
Philemon 1:13-14.
a)
Apostle Paul
would have been glad to keep Onesimus with him.
b)
He was a very
good servant to Apostle Paul in prison.
c)
He could have
been Philemon’s representative to assist Paul.
d)
Apostle Paul
preferred to do nothing without Philemon’s consent.
e)
Paul did not
want to ‘use’ Philemon’s goodness and kindness.
f)
So that all
decisions that Philemon made could be his own willing ones.
(Through this QT I consider about Doing The Correct
Thing)
‘Life In The Work Place.’
Colossians 3:24.
a)
As True
Believers in the work place.
b)
We know that
from the Lord we will receive our inheritance as our reward.
c)
In the work
place we are serving the Lord Christ.
(This
Second one teaches me more about Life In The Work Place)
Chris.
Paul
could have justifiably kept Onesimus with him to care for him in the prison. He
could have declared that Onesimus was Philemon’s representative. This would,
however, be totally wrong. It means that Apostle Paul would be taking advantage
of Philemon. This sin sometimes takes place in the Church today. People take
advantage of other people, just because they are True Believers. It is sin and
should not be done. Taking advantage of someone is actually manipulating and
even stealing from them.
