‘For The Lord’s Sake And Mine.’
Philemon 1:20.
a) Apostle Paul was writing to Philemon as a
Brother in Christ.
b) Paul asked Philemon for a favour for the Lord’s
sake.
c) Paul wanted to have Joy in the Lord from
Philemon.
d) Paul wanted to have his heart refreshed by
Philemon.
e) Paul wanted to be cheered up by Philemon.
(Through this QT: For The Lord’s Sake And Mine, I can
see the real Joy and benefit that comes from positive Fellowship)
‘Busybodies And Meddlers.’
2 Thessalonians 3:11.
a) The news had reached Apostle Paul about the Thessalonian
Church.
b) This was not good news.
c) Some people were:-
1- Walking
around in a disorderly manner.
2- Not
working at all when they should be working.
3- Busybodies.
4- Living
lazy lives.
5- Doing
nothing except meddling in other people’s business.
(This
Second one stimulates my Prayer for two matters: Busybodies And Meddlers,
firstly that these people would stop what they are doing and secondly that
their lives can be changed as they respond to God)
Chris.
There
is real Joy and benefit that comes from positive Fellowship. Fellowship is not
a new word for the Church to think about, the earliest Church in Acts 2:42 had
regular fellowship as part of Church life. This Fellowship that they shared
seemed to be Joyful, Prayerful and constructive. Let us have positive Fellowship in our
Churches.
