Matthew 22:29-46.
a)
Matthew 22:29. Jesus was speaking to the
Sadducees, they did not know the Scriptures or the Power of God.
b)
Matthew 22:30. In the Resurrection there is no
marriage, everyone will be like the Angels of God in Heaven.
c)
Matthew 22:31-32; Exodus 3:6 & 15. The
Sadducees needed to go back to their Scriptures regarding the Resurrection. The
Scriptures said:-
1-I am the God of Abraham.
2-I am the God of Isaac.
3-I am the God of Jacob.
4-God is not the God of the dead, He
is the God of the Living.
d)
Matthew 22:33. The multitudes were astonished
at the Teaching of Jesus.
e)
Matthew 22:34-35. Then the Pharisees came
together and asked Jesus a question to test Him.
f)
Matthew 22:36. They wanted to know which was
the greatest Commandment of the Law of Moses.
g)
Matthew 22:37-38. Jesus said that the First
and Great Commandment was to Love the Lord our God with all of our:-
1-
Heart.
2-
Soul.
3-
Mind.
h)
Matthew 22:39. The Second Great Commandment
was to Love our neighbour as we love ourselves.
i)
Matthew 22:40. On those two Commandments hung
all the Law and the Prophets.
j)
Matthew 22:41. Jesus then questioned the
Pharisees.
k)
Matthew 22:42. Jesus asked them what they
thought about the Christ, whose Son He was. The Pharisees replied that He was
the Son of David.
l)
Matthew 22:43-44; Psalm 110:1. Then Jesus
quoted them the Scripture from David which stated that the Lord said to my
Lord, sit at my right Hand, till I make your enemies your footstool.
m)
Matthew 22:45. If David called Him ‘Lord’, how
was He his son?
n)
Matthew 22:46. Again the people were silenced
and nobody dare question Him.
(There is a lesson for me in this QT:
Jesus Silenced His Opponents With Truth)
‘God And Unclean People.’

a)
God gives them up to uncleanness.
b)
They live with lusts in their hearts.

(This Second one shows me about God And Unclean People)
Chris.
We need to follow the pattern of our Lord Jesus Christ. He
many times used the Scriptures to Teach and make Disciples. His Message was
always simple and clear. He taught quietly, rarely raising His Voice, yet He
taught with such Authority. His Teaching was, and still is, life changing. This
is why the Churches need to follow the pattern of our Lord Jesus Christ.
