A Special Case!

‘A Special Case.’
John 5:3-13.
a)     John 5:3. Many sick people waited by the Pool of Bethesda.
b)    John 5:4. An Angel came down and stirred the water, then the first person to go into the stirred water got healed.
c)     John 5:5. One man who had been invalid for thirty eight years patiently waited near the water.
d)    John 5:6. Jesus already knew that this invalid man had been there for a long time and He asked him if he wanted to be healed.
e)     John 5:7. The invalid man told Jesus that he had no one to put him into the stirred water.
f)      John 5:8. Jesus simply said to him:-
1-   Rise up.
2-   Take up your bed.
3-   Walk.
g)    John 5:9. The man did so, he was healed and it was on the Sabbath day.
h)     John 5:10. The Jews tried to stop him from carrying his bed because it was the Sabbath.
i)      John 5:11. The man replied that it was the Man who healed him who told him to take up his bed.
j)      John 5:12. The Jews wanted to know who this Man was.
k)     John 5:13. The man had no idea who it was that healed him. Jesus had withdrawn from the place and crowds of people were there.

(This Second one reveals to me Why The Son Of Man Came)
---------------------
Chris.
Thank God the Father that the Son of Man came. He came giving us a very amazing example - He came not to be served. Many of us use the phrase ‘serving the Lord’, do we need a re-think? He came to serve. His Serving is an example for us to follow. Maybe instead of ‘serving the Lord’ we need to say ‘serving the people’. This is what every servant of the Lord should do – serve the people.
