When The Covering Was Taken Away!

‘When The Covering Was Taken Away.’
Isaiah 22:4-11.
a)       Isaiah 22:4. Isaiah did not want personal consolation at this time. He:-
1-      Told the people not to look at him.
2-      Asked the people to let him weep bitter tears.
3-      Did not want any human comfort concerning the destruction of Jerusalem.
b)       Isaiah 22:5. This day was a day from the Lord of Hosts. A day of:-
1-      Tumult.
2-      Trampling.
3-      Riots.
4-      Confusion.
5-      People trampling on each other.
6-      City walls being pulled down.
7-      Loud shouting.
c)       Isaiah 22:6. Soldiers and horse soldiers came for battle.
d)       Isaiah 22:7. The area outside the city was filled with chariots and hose soldiers.
e)       Isaiah 22:8. The Lord allowed the covering over His People to be taken away and they looked to, and trusted in, their own weapons.
f)         Isaiah 22:9. There were many breaches in the city walls.
g)       Isaiah 22:10. They broke down people’s houses to attempt to fortify the wall.
h)       Isaiah 22:11. They made a pool of water between the two walls in an attempt to protect themselves.
i)         Isaiah 22:11. They did not look to the Lord in anything they did. He was the One making all this happen.
(This QT teaches me what happened When The Covering Was Taken  Away)

‘Crying And Praying To The Lord.’
Psalm 30:2.
a)       The Psalmist approached the Lord his God.
b)       He cried to God for help and Prayed to Him.
c)       He was healed by the Lord.
(This Second one teaches me that sometimes I need to be Crying And Praying To The Lord)

Chris.
The Psalmist approached the Lord his God. Many times this is what the Lord wants us to do but we fail to do it because our faith is passive faith. When we approach the Lord it means that we Praise Him, Worship Him, Pray to Him and hear what He would say to us.
