A Big Change Of Life Was Necessary!

‘A Big Change Of Life Was Necessary.’
Isaiah 23:6.
a)       The inhabitants of Tyre and Sidon needed to escape as did the foreign traders who were doing business there.
b)       They were told to cross over to Tarshish and they needed to start their businesses all over again. No wonder they were wailing.
c)       If they did not escape then they would be taken into captivity.
(Through this QT I can see that A Big Change Of Life Was Necessary)

‘God As Our Trainer.’
Psalm 18:33-34.
a)       He makes our feet as feet of a deer.
b)       He causes us to stand on the heights. (To do that we have to climb the heights first)
c)       He trains our hands for battle.
d)       Then our arms can bend a brow of brass.
(This Second one causes me to see God As My Trainer)

They were also very far away from God at the time Isaiah had the Word of the Lord for them. They all needed to move out and cross the sea to a new home, taking nothing with them. They all had to start from the beginning again. If they refused to go, they would be captured by their enemies. Sometimes because of debt, because of relationships going wrong, or our sins and broken promises we have to do as the inhabitants of Tyre and Sidon did. We need to live righteously in front of God.
