‘Outside The Camp.’
Hebrews 13:11-13.
a)
Hebrews 13:11; Exodus 29:14.
The bodies of the animals that are brought into the Holy Place by the High
Priest as a Sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp.
b)
Hebrews 13:12. So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to Sanctify the people through
His Own blood.
c)
Hebrews
13:13. Let us go to Jesus outside the camp and bear the reproach that endured.
(This QT centres my thoughts on Outside The Camp)
‘Our Personal Purity.’
1 Corinthians 6:15-20.
a)
1
Corinthians 6:15. Our bodies are members of Christ and we should not give them
to immoral people.
b)
1
Corinthians 6:16. If we are physically joined to an immoral person we become
one with them.
c)
1
Corinthians 6:17. If we are joined to the Lord, we become one spirit with Him.
d)
1
Corinthians 6:18. We are to flee from the sexually immoral person because if we
get involved with them we sin against our own body.
e)
1
Corinthians 6:19. We are not our own. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit
Whom we have from God.
f)
1
Corinthians 6:20. We should Glorify God in our bodies because they have been
bought at a price. We are not our own any more. (The price paid for us is the
Blood of Jesus Christ)
(This
Second one reminds me about My Personal Purity)
Chris.
We are not our own,
our body is now the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Of course this covers our human
relationships it also covers our public behaviour in all things. We are meant
to be a living and loving testimony for our Lord. This fact of being not our own
should affect many of our life decisions.
