‘The
Responsibility That Goes With Leadership.’
2
Chronicles 19:8-10.
a) 2 Chronicles 19:8. In the City of God there
were Priests.
b) 2 Chronicles 19:8. These priests were given
the task from the Lord, amongst His People to:-
1- Settle
problems.
2- Give
judgments.
3- Decide controversies.
c) 2 Chronicles 19:9. These priests were to be:-
1- Serving
faithfully with all their heart.
2- Fearing the
Lord.
3- Men of
integrity.
d) 2 Chronicles 19:10. When the people came to
the priest with their problems and controversies the priest needed to:-
1- Listen well.
2- Warn the
people.
3- Instruct the
people that they were not to sin against the Lord.
4- Obey the Lord
so that the people would also obey the Lord, then they would not be guilty.
(This
QT reminds me of The Responsibility That Goes With Leadership)
‘We
Should Check Our Ways.’
Proverbs
14:12.
a) There is a way.
b) That people think is correct, it seems good to
them.
c) It appears to be a straight way.
d) But it leads only to death.
(This
Second one causes me to see that I Should Check My Ways)
Chris.
The example of
serving faithfully with all their heart must come from Leaders first. Leaders
can only lead the people as far as they themselves have gone. If the Leader’s expectation
is anything else than this then their concept is incorrect.
