‘The Purpose And Plan Of The Lord Of Hosts.’
Isaiah 23:8-9.
a) It seemed as if a terrible enemy had planned
the downfall of Tyre.
b) Tyre was a world famous trading port – a very
wealthy city.
c) The Lord of Hosts was the One Who purposed and
planned it.
d) It was to deal with the strong pride of the people
of Tyre.

‘Be Steadfast And Endure.’
James 1:4.
a) Let steadfastness and endurance have their
full effect.
b) Then we can be:-
1- Perfect.-2- Mature.
3- Complete.
c) Lacking in nothing.
(This Second one exhorts me to Be Steadfast And Endure)

God
does not like pride. It seems that He always acts against it. He can bring
judgment on Nations or individuals because of pride. Sometimes proud people are
the last people to see their own pride and yet they can easily see another
person’s. Let us repent of pride because God really does not like it.
