Telling Lies About The Lord!

‘Telling Lies About The Lord.’
Isaiah 36:10.
a)     The Rabshekah told a lie about the Lord.
b)     He said it was the Lord that sent him to attack God’s People.
c)      He said it was the Lord Who told him to destroy their land.
d)     It was a false message about destruction, attempting to put the Lord’s People into fear.
(This QT reminds me that it is very wrong to be Telling Lies About The Lord)

‘Our Closest Association Friendships.’
1 Corinthians 5:11.

b)     And yet:-
1-     They are living in sexual sin.
2-     They are greedy.
3-     They worship false Gods.
4-     They use abusive language.
5-     They are drunkards.
6-      They are dishonest.
c)      We are not to eat with such people.
(Through this Second one I understand more about My Closest Association Friendships)

 Chris.
We should not eat with dishonest people. In some cultures having a meal has no special meaning. In other cultures enjoying a meal and who we enjoy it together with is very important. That was the culture in Bible Days. To eat together at the table when we know someone at that table is not honest can make us feel very difficult.

The Christian Life!
