‘Sometimes We Get It Wrong.’
1 Corinthians 11:20.
a)
Apostle Paul here had summarised the
Corinthian Church situation.
b)
The Corinthian Church were gathering for their
meetings.
c)
They had in mind the Lord’s Supper.
d)
They could not really partake in the Lord’s
Supper because of the condition of the Church. (Not the building but the
people)
(This QT reminds me that sometimes I get it wrong too)
‘They Have No Share In The Kingdom Of God.’
1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
a)
They had forgotten that these people will not inherit the
Kingdom of God
or have any share in it:-
1-
Wicked.
2-
Unrighteous.
3-
Wrongdoers.
b)
The Corinthian Church needed to stop deceiving
themselves.
c)
These people will have no part in the Kingdom
of God:-
1-
People
who are committing sexual sins.
2-
People
who worship false gods.
3-
Adulterers.
4-
Homosexuals.
5-
Thieves.
6-
Greedy people.
7-
Drunkards.
8-
People who use abusive language.
9-
Robbers.
10-
Cheats.
(This Second one shows me that They Have No Share In The
Kingdom Of God)
Chris.
Yes, sometimes there are thieves who manifest themselves
in Church. It can happen in the stewardship of money and it can happen with
Church property. I have been in large crowds in Worship Services where the Lead
Pastor had to ask the women to look after their handbags well because thieves
had been stealing them.
