‘Avoid
False Teachers.’
2
Peter 2:12-18.
a)
2 Peter 2:12. These false teachers insult what
they do not understand. They are like animals that use their instinct only and
they will be destroyed like animals.
b)
2 Peter 2:13. These false teachers are like
stains and blemishes. They will be paid with suffering for the suffering that
they have caused. They take pleasure in holding wild parties in the daylight
and enjoy deceiving people whilst they eat with them.
c)
2 Peter 2:14. They always look for adulterous
women and lead weak people into a trap.
d)
2 Peter 2:15. They have left the correct path,
gone the wrong way and have developed the love of money.
e)
2 Peter 2:16. God used a donkey to stop one of
them!
f)
2 Peter 2:17. These false teachers are like
dried up springs, they are like mist blown around by a storm and God has
reserved for them a place in the deepest darkness.
g)
2 Peter 2:18. They make proud statements, they
make stupid statements and they use immoral lusts to trap New Believers.

‘Known By What We Produce.’
Matthew 7:16-18.
a)
Matthew 7:16. Thorn bushes do not produce
grapes and briers do not produce figs.
b)
Matthew 7:17. A good tree produces good fruit
and a bad tree produces bad fruit.
c)
Matthew 7:18. A good tree cannot produce bad
fruit and a rotten tree cannot bear good fruit.
(This Second one reminds me that I Am Known By What I
Produce)
Chris.
A good tree produces good fruit. This is a very simple law
of nature. The good tree is not simply recognised by its fruit. The invisible
roots of the good tree are feeding the good tree from the goodness of the
earth. Life comes into the good tree from its roots. If we desire to be good
and fruitful trees our personal life and spiritual life are both important.
