‘False Prophets And False
Teachers.’
2 Peter 2:1-3.
a)
2 Peter 2:1. There were false prophets in
Israel and there are still false prophets today.
b)
2 Peter 2:1. They:-
1- Cleverly teach destructive heresies.
2- Deny the Master Who bought them.
3- Bring sudden destruction on themselves.
c)
2 Peter 2:2. Many people will follow their
evil “teaching” and shameful immorality.
d)
2 Peter 2:2. Because of these false teachers
and false prophets the Way of Truth will be slandered.
e)
2 Peter 2:3. In their greed they tell lies to
get hold of people’s money.
f)
2 Peter 2:3. God condemned them long ago and
their destruction will not be delayed.
(This QT calls me
to avoid False Prophets And False Teachers)
‘Giving Is Not
Just From The Pocket.’
2 Corinthians 8:5.
a) The Macedonian
Believers did much more for Apostle Paul than he had hoped for.
b) They first gave
themselves to the Lord.
c) Then they gave
themselves to the Apostolic team.
d) This was exactly
what God wanted them to do.
(This Second one reminds me that Giving Is Not Just From The
Pocket)
Chris.
In their greed they tell lies to get hold of people’s money.
This was happening in Bible days and it is still happening today. Greed is
still a strong temptation for some Church and Ministry Leaders. In some places
it seems like a “competitive spirit” has got hold of Churches. This is really
not good and needs somehow to be dealt with.
