‘The Minister’s Example.’
Titus 2:7-8.
a)
The Ministers are to show
themselves.
b)
As models of good works.
c)
As having integrity in
Teaching.
d)
As dignified.
e)
As making sound speech
that cannot be condemned.
f)
As causing opponents to
be silenced by their good behaviour.
(This QT reminds me of The Minister’s Example)
‘Stony Ground.’
a)
Mark 4:5. There is not
much earth there.
b)
Mark 4:16-17. It refers
to people who come to the Lord then easily fall away because they have no root.
c)
Ezekiel 11:19; 36:26. God
wants to take our stony heart away.
(Through
this Second one I know that I do not want to be Stony Ground)
Chris.
Ministers need to
make sound speech that cannot be condemned. The minister who talks in a frivolous
way cannot be trusted. The minister who gossips about other people cannot be
trusted. The minister who attempts to impress people by his or her talking
cannot be trusted. The fact that a ministers makes sound speech, both publicly
and privately can cause them to be trusted.
